both my boys need surgery...

((hugs)) Heather. I know this must be overwhelming but it must be such a relief to have an answer and a plan. I'll be praying for a positive result and a speedy recovery.

Aw, that's rough. Hope it goes smoothly and easily for all of you. {{{more hugs}}}

not something any mother wants to deal with. i hope everything goes well for your boys. and i will be thinking about you in the meantime.

thanks chickies... yes, it's just tubes, and I had tubes as a kid so I know it's quick and easy... Isaac had surgery when he was 5 weeks old and I was a total mess... I just know I'm going to be a mess again... we're kinda hoping for back to back surgeries so we can just be done with it LOL... We have some pre-op stuff to do first and Asher still needs to see the ENT to confirm it's the route we're going... then we'll schedule them both hopefully back to back... I just can't wait for it to be over with LOL, and we don't have to go to the dr for ear infections so much.

oh man...that is no fun. my 4 week old had intestinal surgery and it about killed me. I cannot imagine going through it again. :( I will keep you guys in my thoughts. huggs

big big hugs!!! Even the common surgeries don't calm a mumma's heart down :(
I picked up a reply about being bi-lingual? (if I remember correctly that is multi languages? we call it OPOL) that makes them talk later too. I raise my kids as such and Kate didn't really start to talk until around 3 and halfish and at school coming up to 4. Her major leap was coming up to 4. And that is right as well as when they get into school it goes fast!

I hope that all goes well and that is the case. It is so hard on a mom and child to be going in to the doctor all the time. We go so often that the nurses, doctors, and pharmacists know us by name!

So sorry Heather! Keeping you and your boys in my thoughts! :beat

Hugs, I hope it all goes smoothly and that your boys recover quickly!

I'm glad to hear that it should be fast and easy surgery. My daughter had tubes, adenoids and tonsil surgery almost 20 years ago. It was tough on all of us but she healed very quickly and her hearing and speech were excellent after that. No fun but it'll be tougher on you than on them. It'll be a total non-event for them, maybe a bit of an adventure... Hugs to mama!
