sigh, we've tried everything but they just can't get rid of the fluid in their eyes and it's causing speech problems and i just need a hug, I'm so bummed... tho, I'll be happy when we can understand what our 4 year old is saying lol

oh honey, what kind of surgery? is this the one that the insurance won't cover?? hugs, big ones to you....wish I was closer!

I'm so sorry Heather. I hope that the surgery is quick and safe and as painless as possible.

My littlest had blocked tear duct surgery when he was 1. I'm not sure if your kids need the same but if they do it was a relatively quick and painless surgery. Though anytime they have to go under general anesthesia it's always so worrisome I know.

((Hugs))

do they need tubes, heather? while having to go under anesthesia sucks, the procedure was over before i had a chance to sit down when madelyn had it done. :wub:

Oh Heather love, I'm so sorry. We feel so very helpless when our little ones are hurting or challenged. I pray the surgical solution can go as smoothly as possible, with as little pain and with as swift a recovery as can be. ((hugs)) to your boys and to you, momma! :beat

Oh, no! Big hugs for all of you. I hope this gets sorted out soon. :(

I am so sorry Heather, the earth goes from beneath our feet when the little ones are unwell, and needing surgery plain sucks, but I will be praying for your boys, and for you, too, girl so that the surgery went as planned and had the best outcome possible! Hold on there.

So sorry they have to go through surgery, my son has had the same surgery done twice. luckily it's a quick and easy procedure, so they finish quickly. He was only 2 the first time and it was heartbreaking, but he did so well.

Hugs to you Momma! ((hugs))

Heather, my girl had to have surgery and was under gen. anes. when she was 4. she had fluid in her ears and had to have them both drained and then had her ads removed so that it wouldn't happen again. She wasn't speaking properly at 4 either, which is why her Kindergarten teacher told me to take her to the ear specialist. It was terrifying, but we got through it and now she can hear, and therefore speak! She still doesn't speak as well as her friends, but I think that's more of a bi-lingual thing than a hearing thing. Wishing your boys a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!!!

Sorry to hear, Heather :( I hope it goes well and they both recover quickly and it makes a huge change for them. (((big hugs)))

Oh, those poor little ones and poor Momma! At least you have a course of action to take to help those little boys out and probably it'll be quick and over before your know it. {hugs}

Ugh, sorry heather! We just went through this right before Christmas with my two year old. She wasn't speaking hardly at all. The surgery lasted literally ten minutes. She was recovered the next day and within a week was saying new words! I know it's hard to have your little ones have surgery, but in the long wrong it is soooo worth it!
