Love it or Loathe it?
Both, love it for the good deals but hate the madness of it all. Seems as though each year Black Friday gets extended earlier and earlier so it's less of a special day now

Did you participate?
Nope, I did consider it for a hot second but the one thing I wanted/need eventually will be on sale at another point from that particular store cause they seem to have sales of 40-70% off every few weeks anyway

In person shopping or online shopping?

If I was shopping it would be both....online for digi stuff (not that I need any of course) but in person for anything else only cause I don't trust the local delivery courier drivers to do the job properly (it's been a 30 year battle with that one)

Did you snag any good deals?

Not this year, am more into second hand shopping than full on retail anyway

I'm not particularly fond of crowded shops, but attractive prices are always appealing.

I'm not going to buy anything just because it's Black Friday. I buy when I need to, and if it's during Black Friday and I get discounts, then great.

Not yet. But my dishwasher is acting up. Hubby will take a look at it this morning to see what he can do, and if he can't fix it, maybe we'll go and see if the special offers are really worth it.

Black Friday's not something I notice really except for here at the Lilypad. It's not a cultural thing in the UK, although it has come over here in recent years. Yet another big shopping promotion thing that I ignore. We are a buy when you need it kind of family, and mend or upcycle or get second-hand if and when we can.

Black Friday got introduced to South Africa a few years back and then it was MADNESS to say the least. The shops soon learnt and now it's actually become Black Friday MONTH... yip "specials" run for the month of November... so I was actually pleasantly surprised not to get caught in any traffic jams yesterday at our shops like I have in the past. But truly... besides digi scrapping sales (ie shopping) I avoid it totally... I don't do crowds at all.

Love it or Loathe it? LOATHE it! I think I went out one time to get a great deal on an inflatable mattress we needed for something. Never again!
Did you participate? Nope! I had to work. Surprisingly, my parking lot was not packed. My office building is at a shopping center where there's an Old Navy and Nordstrom Rack, but it's not the main mall in town. We got off early, and getting to the place I wanted to pick up food was a bit of a nightmare as it was near the Best Buy and that place was out of control busy!
In person shopping or online shopping? I do almost all of my shopping online now, even order groceries and pick them up. I really have figured out I'm not a people and crowds person. I do have to go out to a mall today with my youngest. We are looking for a gift for a 16 year old girl who is into anime. I picked up a tag from a giving tree in my office building for families where a parent is in drug rehab right now. We wish we knew what franchise this girl likes...too many variables in play! The tag said, "anime stuff!" Had to be a dad that filled it out! LOL
Did you snag any good deals? Wasn't really looking for any, but maybe there will be some things on sale. I need to go to Hobby Lobby to get part of the 16 year old's gifts (she likes acrylic painting, apparently, which is something I know a little bit about!)

I bought one hoodie for my daughter but that’s it.

Online

I believe that Black Friday deals aren’t really good deals but I ordered to get free shipping.

Love it or Loathe it?
I can't say I love it but sometimes it's the only way to afford some of the things people want.

Did you participate?
Kind of? I sent a few people links to stuff on Amazon that would get the kiddo what he wanted at a good sale. Said promotions started last weekend though so I didn't do anything day-of. I did most of my shopping pre-sales because the nieces' pajamas were exempt from the sale (and a sell-out risk) and I bought my son's Pokemon game in November since I missed the "free plushie with preorder" promo in the spring.

I actually spent yesterday working on my balloon garland/photo backdrop that will be behind our tree and then doing the drive-thru lights with my mom, husband, and son. We were FIRST IN LINE and had pre-paid so we ended up driving through basically alone. There were no other cars in my shots and we could stop for displays without bothering anyone.

In person shopping or online shopping?
Online. Immune-issue kiddo plus a dislike of crowds.

Did you snag any good deals?
Me, no. But if my uncle played his cards right, he got 50% off a video game that we couldn't buy full-price for the kiddo. My SIL got 33% off the expansion packs for the card game she bought my son last year (and bought both expansions)
