Binge Watching?

Lately we have been watching A Place to Call Home, an Australian series
I can't wait till this comes back and finishes up. And what is OITNB??? have I missed something good? LOL

Right now I'm watching and it's been a binge weekend for me with The Five. Love it! but was shocked and pleased to see there will be a 2nd season. Shocked cause I'll have to wait and pleased cause there's more. Tomorrow I can start watching Stranger Things and may drag it out for a week or two or three. Shows that have come back for another season get priority when I can record them and watch the next day... Designated Survivor, This is Us and the PBS ones now back, The Durrells in Corfu and Poldark. I'll also watch any episode of Vera that pops us.

Mostly and repeatedly binge watch Parks and Rec. And it also only took 3 sessions to finish off Firefly - so good for such a short series! I went away for a weekend with friends and while my husband was recovering from a big night(!) we watched way too many episodes of Pretty Little Liars with their 14yo daughter, was just right for the day though...

I am not one for binge watching drama, I get too caught up in it and just mostly get cranky as if it is real life (I am the same with books...). We will watch one or two episodes of a series a night but only 3-4 times in a week - sort of bingy over a spread out period. We loved Game of Thrones, The Americans and House of Cards. We only have one or two episodes of The Handmaids Tale to finish, probably tonight. After that it will be Mr Robot Series 2 and 3. Also have American Gods to watch.

I would binge watch my newest love, The It Crowd as well as Drunk History, just don't have ready access atm. Would love to see Stranger Things as well.

@MrsPeel I'm a HUGE binge-watcher. Just watched Stranger Things Season 1. Certain shows are watched immediately (Lucifer, SVU, etc).

I can't just sit and watch tv, though. There's too much I want/need to do, so I have it on while exercising, scrapping, organizing, etc.

I rarely watch live network tv; 99% of my viewing is on one of the gazzillions of Rokus in my house. I subscribe to several British tv services, so I get my daily dose of U.K. tv for this Texas girl!

I loved Firefly and was so sad that there wasn't more of it. At least there was the movie to wrap things up a bit but there were so many things to explore and were hinted at that were never resolved. A real pity.

Other than Acorn, which channels do you mean? I've been tempted to go back to Acorn but seriously, I don't know if I have time to watch any more.

My husband and I have plans to binge Stranger Things 2. We've been really into watching Live PD on A&E on the weekends. Other than that, we don't seem to have a ton of time for watching TV together.

I like to watch my "shows" when I walk on the treadmill in the mornings. Right now I'm watching This is Us, Law & Order True Crime and Call the Midwife.

Binge watching is the best!!! I´ve done it with Stranger Things 1+2, Westworld, House of Cards, Penny Dreadful, The Blacklist and many more.
The worst part is when you´ve catched up and have to wait a week between every episode like with Outlander!

Right now I´m bingewatching Supernatural and I´m only on season 2. So I got that one going A LOT! LOL!

My husband and I just binged watched The Killings

First season - THE BEST. All suspense.
Second season - dark
third & fourth - a bit gruesome at times

but the best suspense I've seen in a while - and it didn't have nudity. I'm over that in all these shows.

I started binging on Mom (Hulu) yesterday...pretty funny, but definitely not young children appropriate.

I keep hearing great things about Stranger Things, but haven't watched it yet. I am working through BONES right now, I know it's an old series but I love the dynamics of the characters. I was BINGE watching HOUSE OF CARDS but I lost interest. I was watching THE HANDMAID'S TALE but had to stop watching it because BONES seasons were going to be moved out so I wanted to be caught up with BONES. We don't binge watch ONCE UPON A TIME, we more watch one or two episodes every night (when we can) as a family.

I go through spirts and re watch old series plus things that catch my eye and it had previous seasons so I go back and watch to catch up. I have West Wing on DVD and have watched dozens of times, but on netflix we watch 2 spisodes every night. I like it .. I love lots of shows and when some of the new ones come on netflix, I watch in one go.

oh I had started watching the West Wing and LOVED it!!!!! I used to love when we didn't have Netflix or Amazon Prime, because it kind of forced us to watch the shows on the day and it was a bit like a ritual or tradition of ours.... there was Glee for a few years, we didn't watch the last 2 years, then Greys Anatomy and Criminal Minds...now we rather wait until the series are done so we don't have to wait LOL
I made a page that posted earlier about The Good Doctor.... LOVING it!!!!!!

Yes, Nathan Fillion is in it. It is a really good space cowboy series if you like that sort of thing, bummer it only made one season, but at least they made a follow up movie. I have never even heard of Castle, but looked it up, sounds interesting. Must see if it is on Prime.

Re Riverdale, yes I have read it's not very close to the comics, but I need to watch it someday just for the sentimental value. And I don't mind dark at all...

you know, after you mentioned, I went to looking for it. Isn't on Netflix, I can;t remember if I looked in Prime, but will go back to make sure!!! Let me know how you like Riverdale if you watch it, Sarita is going through it at the moment and loving it!

OITNB got so super lame IMO...which is sad, b/c I liked the first couple seasons. But I'm having serious Grey's withdrawals LOL!! It's gotta be an ABC issue if you're also having issues!! I still need to try the ABC app, I'll let you know how that goes!

We finally started watching Stranger Things after we got back from the pumpkin patch yesterday...please tell me it picks up and gets better after they find "Will" b/c I'm so very close to giving up on it LOL

Greys Season 14 is starting next Wednesday here!!!! I'm not sure, but we may wait till the series are done so we can watch without the wait LOL If you are into Greys, you HAVE to watch The Good Doctor!!!!!!!
we LOVE it!!!!!!!!
are you liking Stranger Things?

LOL I saw Margaret told you is Orange is the New Black. I loved the beginning, it was interesting and it had humor.... when it started to get too heavy, and not a thread of the humor that made me love it to start with, I gave it up....
Started watching Designated Survivor and not sure why I didn't continue? I m making a note now to go back to it!
Poldark was really big here for a while, not sure I even stop nit even to look at the description but remember him being interviewed in many channels here... and something about his body LOL

OH sister.... I have the same thing, so lately I start watching things and if they are too dark or too close to reality, I stop. I didn't want to watch the Handmaids Tale because I know it would affect me and I keep seeing the world as being a terrible place....so I'm inclined to refuse treatment every time they find a new health condition in me LOL
I liked Mr Robot season 1, but with the memory problems I have, when I went to the second series...I wasn't understanding anything so I gave up, I have some trouble when things drag longer than one season....
Sarita sometimes makes me watch Drunk History....I wont go of on one, but it is a bit too much of British humor to me LOL I'm trying to make her quit drinking completely...!!!

@MrsPeel I'm a HUGE binge-watcher. Just watched Stranger Things Season 1. Certain shows are watched immediately (Lucifer, SVU, etc).

Great isn't it? we were saying just yesterday, now every time something start, we want to wait until the series are done so we can watch and not need to wait!!!!!
I liked Lucifer in season 1 in the beginning, I was curious about the concept of humanizing him... and love the actor, remember seeing him in Doctors years and years ago and loving him....even if the Lucifer role is a bit over acted, the beginning was good,m then it got a bit too predictable, it looks a bit better now season 2, but not too crazy about it... I loved her in Chicago Fire and now I feel she isn';t expressive enough (whatever her name is, detective Decker LOL) to me, the best thing? Trixie!!!!!!

I loved Firefly and was so sad that there wasn't more of it. At least there was the movie to wrap things up a bit but there were so many things to explore and were hinted at that were never resolved. A real pity.
oh I still want to find it to watch it!!! such a shame when they stop shows without giving them a good run... :(

My husband and I have plans to binge Stranger Things 2. We've been really into watching Live PD on A&E on the weekends. Other than that, we don't seem to have a ton of time for watching TV together.

OHHHH I'm watching L&O true Crime!!!!! can't binge watch as it is on Sky, which is the TV and I keep going back to the program page to see of there is a new episode LOL
Watched Call The Midwife (all 6 series!!!( in two days!!!)

Binge watching is the best!!! I've done it with Stranger Things 1+2, Westworld, House of Cards, Penny Dreadful, The Blacklist and many more.

LOVED Westworld & Penny Dreadful!!!!!! we watched Penny Dreadful on the actual TV, week by week.... did you see season 3? not sure if they will have another one, I think I read an interview where they said no more...it was such a great program!!! I started the Blacklist but then got ill and never got back to it for some reason......

My husband and I just binged watched The Killings

First season - THE BEST. All suspense.
Second season - dark
third & fourth - a bit gruesome at times

but the best suspense I've seen in a while - and it didn't have nudity. I'm over that in all these shows.

I think I am a bit like that with most series...I am currious with The Killings, got it on my list!!!

I started binging on Mom (Hulu) yesterday...pretty funny, but definitely not young children appropriate.

mmm never heard about it!!! is it called just Mom?

Ohhhh Bones!!!!! I should go bacl to it. I remember Sarita didn;t want to watch because for her, he is Angel from Buffy!!!!!

Oh yeah OITNB got very soap opera for me, so I stopped watching.
It got too dark for me!!!!

anyway, right now, we wished The Good Doctor was available in the whole series, and more than one!!!!!
LOVINg it!!!!! (as you maybe able to tell as I made a page LOL)

I tried watching that on Hulu too and then forgot all about it when I downloaded the ABC app! Sadly, I have fallen asleep each time I try to watch Stranger Things...I think it's just too sci-fi for me :(

Greys Season 14 is starting next Wednesday here!!!! I'm not sure, but we may wait till the series are done so we can watch without the wait LOL If you are into Greys, you HAVE to watch The Good Doctor!!!!!!!

Just "Mom" the blonde looks familiar, but I can't figure out from where...guess I could look her up huh LOL!

That is the show with Alison Janey from The West Wing and various movies like "The Help" Love Alison Janey. I watch the show every now and again but it is not an all the time thing for me.. the daughter is the now soon to be ex wife of Chris Pratt.

The Help!! That's where I remember her from!! I had to look up the daughter and Chris Pratt; I only remember Anna from the Chipmunk movie and nothing looks/sounds familiar that Christ Pratt has been in LOL!!

I live under a rock!
