Do you? If you do, what type of program are the ones you go for?
When there is a new program on TV, do you watch every week or wait until it is finished to watch all in one go?
In case other second language English don't know the word (I didn't until way after I came to live in this country!!!) it means over indulgence, in this case, sitting to watch a season or series (some people watch entire series, some with 5 or 6 seasons, in a week or two!!!!!)
I'm not sure the word has a proper translation in either Portuguese or Spanish...the first time I heard this was here in England, in a Reality TV program where Police officers went around the city in the weekends, dealing with whatever turn up...85% of cases were drunk people, and someone described some (very young ) girls as binge drinkers....so the word, to me, has a bit of a negative feel that I can't quiet shake off....

I don't do it often, but it is generally the ones that are thrillers that I tend to watch in one go....I love a lot of light movies or series, comedy, I was watching The Dick Van Dyke Show on Netflix (in black and white, from my times!!!!!!) I usually do scrap or other stuff whilst watching, and love to have a bit of laughter every day, so I don't do it in one sitting, but since TV on Demand, Sky Go, Amazon Prime video, and, most of all (the one I found easier to navigate and less techie problems!!!) I am very guilty of "binge watching"
Last night, I had hardly slept 3 hours night before, did all I had to do and then....oh well, couldn't resist. I watched the entire Stranger Things Season 2... 9 hours of TV in my Mac.
wont give spoilers, but it is so very well done... I didn't get into it in series 1 until episode 3 or 4, and was doubting they could top it in the new one, but they did a great job.... I'm still suffering for the mental health of Millie Bobby Brown in the future (as I do with every young actor) but they all do such an amazing job... one HAS to watch!!!!!
to top it up, Valeria aka Little Butterfly Wings has just released an awesome kit which is inspired on the series, (also gives way to scrap almost anything you want!!!!!) so I made the page and wanted to share it with you.....

the kit is called Something Strange and you can find it HERE

Apologies if some grammar/typos remain, and I wont be answering straight away as I REALLY need to close my eyes for a couple of hours, will be back later on, just didn't want to forget (as it has been happening to me often, I want to share something with you here and then forget!!!)
Hope you are all having a great weekend!!!!!

We will binge watch occasionally, usually in the summer when nothing else is on. Lately we have been watching A Place to Call Home, an Australian series. Last summer we binge watched Longmeier (Wyoming sheriff) and Anzac Girls (Australian army nurses) which were both quite good.

I remember Dick van Dyke from a million years ago but I have not heard of Stranger Things, but love your layout.

I don't watch much tv at all and none really until the last year or so. I'm currently watching Stranger Things 2 and I think I got through 4 episodes last night. I'll probably finish it up tonight. When I was babysitting over the summer and didn't get out a lot, I binged watched season 1 of Riverdale. I really liked it and am trying to keep up with season 2 now as it comes out, but I'll probably end up binge watching a lot of it later. The have also binge watched Fuller House, The Office, and Parks and Recreation in the past. If I haven't watched more than a season or two, I just can't do it. The only reason I really watched The Office and Parks and Rec was because DH had it on. But omgosh, I love that kit and now I really neeeeeed it!!

So excited for season 2 ... and your page is crazy awesome Cynthia! I binged Season 1 in 2 days. I'm hoping to see S2 | E1 tonight!

I haven't been watching too much TV lately - I usually binge more in the winter when the weather is cold!

But again that page rocks. I fell in love with the kit when I saw it ... and was toying w/playing with it ... but my jaw is still on the floor looking at what you created. I don't think I could make anything half as cool as what you just did!

:yourock:yowza

I binge watch all the time. Especially older shows that are no longer on that I've watched over and over again. Usually when I'm scrapping I have them playing on my 2nd monitor, mostly for noise, and to glance at, and listen to the dialogue, I usually have seen them so many times that I remember what's going on so they don't need my full attention

I only binge watch. I haven't watched TV in ages and only start watching a series (I am a series junkie) when it is either finished or already quite a few seasons in. And then I wait until the new season is out on DVD.
Lately we have been binge watching Banshee (which is extremely violent, I am afraid), Supernatural (until I stopped watching because it annoyed me - a lot), Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Vikings, etc. etc.
That's the reason I can never talk with people about new shows because once I start watching them, they are old to everybody else.

@IntenseMagic I totally want to watch Riverdale because I used to love Archie comics. It's on Netflix here and we haven't got Netflix, so I might have to wait but I have heard good things about it.

I've really enjoyed it! I binged the first season on Netflix and am currently watching the new season on The CW Network online. They only keep the latest 5 episodes there. Totally worth binge watching if you get the chance.

Not very often....my kids and husband do all the time though. The last time I binge-watched anything was a few weeks ago before season two of The Good Place started. I didn't watch all of season one so I got all caught up on it. Other than that, I can't remember the last time I binge-watched anything.

I binge watched Wentworth when the lastest season came out this summer I think it was....so.much.better. than OITNB!!!
I wanted to binge on Grey's but for whatever reason, by the time it gets to the first commercial break on Hulu I get a message that I've been disconnected from the network...and it only happens on shows on ABC :( Hubby is binging on Dexter for the second time.

I tried finding something to watch on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon last night, but after wasting 45 mins reading all the descriptions I gave up and handed the remote off to hubby.

I’m a BINGE watcher! I can plop down and watch for hours. Right now I’m binging on Covert Affairs. It’s free on Amazon prime. It’s a cia spy show and I’m hooked. I’m on the end of season 4 and have only been watching it for a couple of weeks. I downloaded a whole season to my iPad and watched it in the airport and on the plane during my recent Disney trip.

Aspen is watching Stranger things and wants me to start and catch up with her. I want to finish covert affairs first because I’m so close. Only one season left. Then I’ll probably start. I’ve also got 2-3 episodes of blacklist, bull, designated survivor, madam secretary and wisdom of the crowd to catch up on.

Timmi have you tried using the abc app instead of the Hulu app to watch your abc shows? I don’t have Hulu but i think it’s a provider on the abc app. aspen watched past episodes of greys on Netflix. I’m not sure if it’s still on Netflix right now though. I use the abc app to watch free episodes of designated survivor and the cbs app for free episodes of my cbs shows since cutting our cable last month.

I always binge 'Fuller House' when they release the new seasons. This year they only released half of the third season (the second half is coming in December) so that was a really easy binge.

OMG Homeland ! both T and I have been under the weather since last wedensday ( some strange virus , that left us very tired ) but by Friday we were into Homeland season 3 in a big way ! before that Arrow and inbetween other stuff Revenge.. ( we are ok now )

Some shows I don't like to get behind on and once I have 2 or 3 episodes I'll do a mini binge, like Blacklist, Greys Anatomy, Scandal, L&O, NCIS, Blindspot to name a few. Others I binge watch on Netflix, Crave or on our android box. Recently I've been binging Queen Sugar, Claws, Channel Zero, Younger and Nashville.

Oh I'm getting into Aussie TV so much now!!!! I remember when I first got together with Andy, we would watch the soaps, so much that when Sarita was born, even as a very small baby, she would start wriggling (like dancing LOL) and smiling when the soap music cam,e on TV, so we are sure is because she heard it when it the womb!!! then I spent a few years of not watching Tv at all (working long hours) but now with the net is so easy to find them, I started again... I watched all series of Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, a kind of light watching thing, enjoyed it so much and the costumes are amazing!!!!! (1920's)

Stranger Things was on either last year (for us) or earlier this year... is a fantasy thing, a bunch of young kids and another dimension, a girl with powers , etc. I didn't get i to it in season 1 until episode 3 or 4, then loved it!!!!! I posted here because I remembered someone posting about it when season one was on... :) @Iowan

I had a LONG time when I was younger of not really wanting to watch TV, or more like lots of work, study, parenting didn't leave much time for TV....so yes I understand...
Now... Riverdale.... I started watching and stopped after a few episodes -I do this a lot lately, things that give me anxiety or annoy me, I stop!- like watching light stuff or funny, as I had so much drama in my own life already LOL but with Riverdale it wet beyond: Archie was my most favorite comic when I was young, simply loved the characters,m it was fun!!!! This Netflix version of it is too dark and, even though I recognize how well done it is, I decided not to break my memory of Archie and Friends...so I stopped :)
I have seen so many of you enjoying Fuller House and Parks & Recreation, they are both in my list for very soon!!!!!
The Office... I seriusly can;t stand Ricky Jervais... so I haven;t even looked to see if it is available for us LOL

ThE KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!! @valeriapiemonte you really rocked our hearts!!!!!!
can't wat to see what you make Jan!!!!!!!! @IntenseMagic

Ohhhhhhh nooo you can make more than AWESOME !!!!!!!! you know you have been one of my greatest teachers and still are, so partly my pages carry a bit of you each!!!!!!! @jenn mccabe

same here!!!!!! I also have sometimes in the other computer stuff like Forensic Files or music documentaries, same as you, don't need to watch much, just hearing what goers on is perfect so I can concentrate on making pages!!!!!
I think this idea I took from Diane - @dvhoward , the watching old stuff we have watched in the past whilst we scrap, and it is working great!!!!! @LoveItScrapIt

again, same here!!!!!!! I haven't really gone to the living room to watch, even though we have Fire TV thingy, I watch in the computer and it makes me anxious when having to wait until the following week!!!!!! I watched all series of Call The Midwife on Netflix...when it finished in the one before last season, I went looking for it and there it was in Amazon Video to rent or buy, I think I bought series on SD for £6.99, and then was disappointed when knowing I have to wait until next year for next season!!!!!:giggle
I may go loom into Battlestar Gallactica, isn't Firefly the one with Nathan whatshisname Castle guy? by the way I binged watch Castle a couple of years ago, but then Twitter ruined last season for me as they posted a video of the final episode...didn't feel right watching so I didn't LOL
With Riverdale, as I said to Jan above.... Archie was my most loved comic and despite accepting the fact that is very well done as a piece of film...it was wrecking my idea of what they were...too dark when comparing to the comic magazine!!!

I do understand that as a young woman (which you are, considerably younger than me !!!!) with a family & house to tun, I hardly even had time for TV... and also we want you to use most of your spare time to scrap!!!!!! your pages are always loved!!!!! so, yeah, don't watch TV just scrap!!!!!!:giggle
@carrie1977

I almost watched Wenthworth!!!!! Sarita made me watch OITNB, I loved the beginning, then I think season 3 started to get too dark for my tastes these days so I stopped. I get that a lot , the anxiety of something in the story turning too stressing for them, stresses me LOL
We used to have our rituals with Sarita and Greys watching was one of those. When we traveled to South America in 2014, something happened to our pre recorded stuff, and it kept recording last episode of the last series,so we stopped. I picked up on series 12 and watched 13 in bunches of episodes...
I have something similar happening with my Sky service, it jumps to the past 4 minutes and plays it again, also sound loss for a minute or two and then I have to close the player and restarted and manually move it to where I was.... I have written to complain but haven;t gotten to it... I pay a LOT of money to these people... @bbymks5

I ll look up Covert Affairs! love the spy stuff even though lately I try to go for the ones that get cases solved within the episode, I got a bit stressed with Criminal Minds last series as they dragged on the characters story too long...
I'm like that too, I rather watch something and finish, then move into another one, but in my case is mainly because my memory doesn't keep stuff, so I may forget the title of what I was watching :giggle
Now you reminded me , I started watching designated survivor and really liked it...not sure why I didn't go back to it? making a note of it now!!!!! :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub
@keepscrappin
ohhh by the way (I almost made a separate thread for you :giggle and keep forgetting...
I remember you posting in another thread about how you didn't like The Big Bang Theory because of so much sexual references... I didn't think much like that ...but now after hearing you... I totally get what you mean :giggle

@keepscrappin I'll have to check it out!! I haven't been able to watch more than about 10 mins of each new episode :( I don't watch many shows so I get super bummed when the ones I want to watch I can't.

I know the feeling, as I mentioned, I am even thinking about giving up Sky because of the tech issues, but then most of the great shows are on Sky Atlantic here and they have a Brazilian channel...oh decisions decisions :giggle
@bbymks5

I always binge 'Fuller House' when they release the new seasons. This year they only released half of the third season (the second half is coming in December) so that was a really easy binge.

I don;t think I was watching TV when Fuller House happened in the past, but most of you most certainly make me want to watch it now!!!! will ad to my list!!!! @LeeAndra

We went on a major binge of British comedy over the last few months - The IT Crowd, The InBetweeners, Peep Show...loved them all.

and here I am loving the Aussie shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glitch (or The Glitch?) Miss Fisher's, I watched a few others which I need to look up tittles, and the a New Zeland one (I need to look up the tittle but was amazing) we get tons of your TV here and I LOVE it!!!!!!
@Meredith78

OMG Homeland ! both T and I have been under the weather since last wedensday ( some strange virus , that left us very tired ) but by Friday we were into Homeland season 3 in a big way ! before that Arrow and inbetween other stuff Revenge.. ( we are ok now )

Homeland is on my list!!!!! many of my friends love it!!!! Sorry to hear you guys are unwell :( we had a cold that lasted for over 3 weeks for me...
I was watching The Flash, and had to ask Sarita about some stuff because I didn't understand...it was some charterers of Arrow coming into The Flash series,,,so I almost started Arrow... not sure why I didn't! @Nemla

Some shows I don't like to get behind on and once I have 2 or 3 episodes I'll do a mini binge, like Blacklist, Greys Anatomy, Scandal, L&O, NCIS, Blindspot to name a few. Sarita binged on Scandal this summer!!!!! I started the Blacklist but after season 3 I think, it got me anxious so I stopped.... LOVE Greys been waiting ages for new season to start!!! used to watch all L&O, recently I'm watching L&O True Crime: The Menendez Murders, but they are drop feeding us one episode at the time LOL
I really need to catch up on NCIS LOOOVE the show!!!!!!!
I started Blindspot but stopped after a couple of episodes on season 2 as it was (again LOL) making me anxious!!!!
:giggle:giggle
@bcgal00

I also watched last night the first episode of The Good Doctor and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!
but i reckon I will wait until all episodes are in to watch!!!!!

I go through spirts and re watch old series plus things that catch my eye and it had previous seasons so I go back and watch to catch up. I have West Wing on DVD and have watched dozens of times, but on netflix we watch 2 spisodes every night. I like it .. I love lots of shows and when some of the new ones come on netflix, I watch in one go.

@Rikki

Yes, Nathan Fillion is in it. It is a really good space cowboy series if you like that sort of thing, bummer it only made one season, but at least they made a follow up movie. I have never even heard of Castle, but looked it up, sounds interesting. Must see if it is on Prime.

Re Riverdale, yes I have read it's not very close to the comics, but I need to watch it someday just for the sentimental value. And I don't mind dark at all...

OITNB got so super lame IMO...which is sad, b/c I liked the first couple seasons. But I'm having serious Grey's withdrawals LOL!! It's gotta be an ABC issue if you're also having issues!! I still need to try the ABC app, I'll let you know how that goes!

We finally started watching Stranger Things after we got back from the pumpkin patch yesterday...please tell me it picks up and gets better after they find "Will" b/c I'm so very close to giving up on it LOL

I almost watched Wenthworth!!!!! Sarita made me watch OITNB, I loved the beginning, then I think season 3 started to get too dark for my tastes these days so I stopped. I get that a lot , the anxiety of something in the story turning too stressing for them, stresses me LOL
