Journaling:
These past few years have been chaotic havoc on my body and brain. This wild, secluded backyard of mine has been my saving grace. The ability to leave my house and be on a trail in the woods, all alone, within minutes has literally been a lifesaver. Moments that have brought me such profound change have happened here. I find such joy and healing being here among the trees, the dirt and the quiet. I cannot imagine living, playing or growing anywhere else than this beautiful plot of ground I call home. May it forever be wild, natural and free.

Journaling says
The first few days of this family camp are so memorable to me because I got to spend some much needed, soul filling hours with my siblings as our kids ran around the campsite playing with sticks and rocks. We had an amazing time cooking meals together, going swimming and hiking together, making smores and sharing snacks, getting our kids to bed and then staying up late at night talking around the campfire together. We spend on evening hiding from a nasty storm under a pine tree instead of running to our tents because we were having such a nice time just talking and laughing. I took a minute to set up a shot to capture this precious memory of us around the fire late that night, talking about literally everything! When you are kids, you never stop and think what it will be like to be an adult and what an amazing thing it can be to be best friends with the very people you have spent your whole life with- the good, the bad and the ugly, sharing the parents, the rooms, the food and the fun together. I am so lucky to have shared my whole growing up years together with these three other people. The years have not been super kind on any of us, we have had our drama, our trials, our fights and our distances, but we always come back together because we care and we make these magical moments happen. We experience life together and our friendships are truly irreplacable, truly priceless. I hope there are many more times ahead like this camping trip together and that we can share many more fires and storms together. There are no better three that I'd rather have my back or give my energy and time to.
