Bad Hair Day

I'm greying (although colored to hide it) and also dealing with the frizz thing. I used to be able to just blow dry with a round brush and -- since I have some natural wave, it'd come out great (as long as not too much humidity). Now, if I do that, it's a frizzy mess. So, I've let it get a little longer and made friends with a big round, curling iron and I do soft, beachy waves. There's not much humidity so as long as I'm careful when I sleep, they actually last a few days.

I am currently having a bad hair day everyday, my hair has been coloured red (naturally dark brown) and it's hit that stage the roots need colouring again. Thankfully appointment booked for next weekend to restore my hair to its chemically coloured glory.

I love my hair when its curled but I am no good at doing this myself, and it takes to long to do in the mornings. I spend most of my time with my hair tied back in a bobble for work.

This is me. LOL! It takes forever to dry my long hair. Like 30 minutes plus. So I rarely do it.
I have that in between curly/straight hair thing going on. Usually if I let it dry naturally I can scrunch it up and get more curl out of it....but I really don't have time to let it dry naturally or even have time to blow dry it. So...it usually goes in a bun or I just have this long/straight/wavy crazy hair thing going on. Oh and I've also been braiding it. That's an easy thing to do when my hair is wet.

I have bad hair days when I go way past the "time for a cut" line...then my hair at the nape of my neck flips in all different directions!!

I also have stick straight hair...it's fine but I have a lot of it and it takes forever to dry!! I let it air dry about until it's about 90% dry and then use the blow dryer and round brush for about 10 mins.

My hair has a natural "flip up" in the back and it drives me batty!!! I usually end up throwing it up in a ponytail!

My hair is just about shoulder length, pin straight, and very thin. I am a cosmetologist by trade (although not really practicing any more), so I can blowdry mine straight with a roundbrush in about 5 minutes. A little teasing and some hairspray and I am good to go! I know what product I use makes a BIG difference in my hair turning out. However, when I curl it the curl only lasts for about 1 hr...and that is with lots of product, so that is kind of frustrating! Everyone has bad hair days now and again...just remember that! :)

my daughter loves having her hair done daily and different styles....some days I am like PLEASE just 1 pony tail will be enough.
today we went for elastics on each side with hanging hearts with red ribbons a glitter bows

Almost everyday that my hair is not washed and let to dry naturally it's a bad hair day. Did I mention I have dry hair and I can't wash it everyday? I wash it more like once to twice a week depending on the season.

OH MY! I don't have the patience to do any of that plus my girl has short short hair!

my hair on the other hand, washed every morning, towel dried and thrown into a low hair bobble unless I have to go out or visit then its blow dried and straightened

Donna are you a stylist?

My hair is short and naturally curly but not wildly curly any more. I wash it, towel dry it, put some gel on it and rub my hands through and I'm good to go. It will dry in natural - properly placed! - curls. However, I cannot let it get long or I have a wild head of uncontrollable hair.

I do know a women whose hs daughter lost her hair from some disease and Mama shaved her head in support. Now she keeps it in a buzz cut because she likes it and she/it looks really good. She is fairly wealthy and jokes that she now goes to the barber now and just asks for a #2. Under $10!

No sweetie not a stylist at all, just have a daughter who asks for different hairstyles, I am all fingers and thumbs, it she thinks they look nice so that's great for me

I'm pretty sure I have a bad hair day everyday. My hair is very fine and some places quite curly and others not. If i curl the not it falls flat in no time. If I straighten the curly it fuzzes up in the least humidity. So there you have it. I'm told its all in the cut which I intend quite soon. We will see.

It's so funny I found this thread today, because after 20+ years of long hair tonight I'm getting it cut!! I'm a wreck, but the reason answers this thread question. I do nothing to my hair till now except color it, which I HATE doing with a passion. I don't work, I don't get out too often, so up it goes daily in pony or a messy bun. The problem with that is that I'm 60 yrs old, and ponies don't look so great with turkey necks, ya know?

Also, yes my hair waves - it's waving GOODBYE! Ugh it's so thin now. So, not only am I getting it cut with layers, but I'm letting the gray grow in too. I've decided to get silver highlights tonight to start the grow in process without that awful roots line. So big day for Squirrely here, and I'll surely post pics tomorrow (if I'm happy with it of course).

I have short straight hair cut in layers. It takes a minute to bloy dry and then I spray it and finger style it. I only have bad hair days when I need a cut. I've got a bit of gray but I'm not coloring it as it is a pretty silvery gray. Also, I earned them!

I have wavy/curly hair, and it looks AWESOME straight out of bed in the morning (I shower at night and let it air dry, because if a hair dryer comes within 20 feet of my head, my hair takes on a life of its own...I'm talking undead hair here, people!) with just a couple of minutes of waving hands through it in the morning.

Now, before you all want to burn me at the stake for being a witch, it retains that awesomeness for fifteen whole minutes...and then the South sets in. And by the South, I mean the humidity. Humidity and curls are not BFFs. They are not even frenemies- they simply hate each other. I swear, in that fifteen minutes my hair grows to Bride of Frankenstein proportions. I can literally feel it expanding out from the sides of my head, kind of like dough rising.

At that point, I get to try to fix it again, but there is no saving it- it must go into a ponytail or bun. And even then, those short little hairs right along the hairline stick out in all directions and start waving around. It's not a pretty sight.

And I am completely deficient in hairstyles. I can't even do a proper messy bun- instead, mine comes out looking like a poor, floppy half-ponytail with some random scraggly bits poking out.

So, yeah, I get 15 minutes of good hair per day, and that's it. Maybe I should try straightening it? Would a flat iron help at all?

I've got fine thin hair so keep it just above or below the shoulder with a few long layers. If my hair is looking flat I put it in a ponytail. I always use volume spray and blow dry. I used to spend more time on my hair, curling and spraying with hairspray. I don't bother anymore. I just tuck it behind my ears and sometimes put a barette or clip in.
