I mean, literally, bad hair days ... do you have them? Do they drive you crazy??

I know it sounds so terribly petty, but when I mess with my hair for 30 or 40 minutes and it still looks like crap I get cranky!!

Today is Monday and is one of the those days - I hope my co-workers are nice to me today because I'm just not in the mood for too much drama! LOL!

Do you have bad hair days? I'd also love to hear how long it takes you to "do" you hair ... I have super straight (like straight as a board straight) hair. If it's too short it just sticks up all over and if it's too long the very ends curl up and no matter how much I curl them under they flip up - but just the very ends!! I curl it everyday ... just ordered a new (smaller) iron in hopes of it working better.

Honestly, if bald was in style for women, I'd be there!! :-)

my hair is curly and as a kid I hated it. now it is my best friend.
I can mess with it to be more professional looking (means, 4 swipes with curling iron on top) or just scrunch it and go. That is my go to style. I usually put my hand on the top and swish it make and forth scrunch a bit and I'm out the door.
Getting it cut is the pain in the butt. I usually have them go real short and then I have new styles as it grows out! lol

You don't want to know how long my hair takes. Which is usually why it's in a ponytail. lol

I am not talented with the blow dryer and round brush ... so I do the pony tail or messy bun look a lot! When do I get fancy and blow dry it out ... it takes about 15 - 20 minutes. But I can never get it to look as pretty as my stylist can. :(

I had really short hair for a few years - I do get what you are saying, you have no choice but to try to get it right or it will drive you crazy all day. I hope the smaller iron works for you Jill!

Since cutting my hair short a few years back, it takes me about a minute to do my hair in the morning. That I love. What I don't love is having lost my ability to wear a hat during Chicago winters. Actually, I haven't lost the ability to wear one, just the ability to take one off without all of my hair standing on end, sticking out all over the place. If I use product in my hair, it's the stiff rogue chunks sticking up that don't go back down. If I don't, it's the fuzzy, static halo of hair... sigh.

Well, I still have shoulder length hair. Ever since being pregnant the second time, my hair has started growing curly, but only in the back. The rest is sorta wavy. So for a long time I was drying my hair straight and then using a flat iron to make it look nice. That took me about 30-40 minutes in the morning and I HATED it.

In August I decided to go back to letting my hair do whatever it wants. I put some mouse in it and towel dry it and then I use a diffuser for about 2-3 minutes and then I let it air dry the rest of the way (otherwise it gets to fluffy and frizzy). So it takes me about 5 minutes to do my hair now. I think my hair still looks nicest when I straighten it (and I can wear hats better in the winter) but it's just not worth the time to me anymore. :giggle

I do. I have partially wavy hair. Some parts are straight and some parts are wavy... and if I let it dry naturally, it is a frizz bomb. So, I straighten it, and all is well.

When I do have bad hair days, which thank goodness aren't often, my family knows to leave me alone until I come out, even if we are late. I try to just say that I am having a bad hair day, and they are pretty understanding. It's better than me getting cranky toward them.

I loved when I got the Karatin treatment - best 3 month of my hair life... I just can't keep up with that cost all the time.

I have thick hair, which sounds awesome. And it is if I'm just doing a pony tail, or bun. But if I'm trying to curl it? Hello 1 hour of time :cry. So, I stick to what's easy. I also can't do the short thing, because at least to me, it makes my face look too chubby, and too much like my dad. So, shoulder length or longer it is!
Bad hair days happen often in the winter, because of static. I really do love my hair overall, but it can drive me nuts so quickly!

All I can say is thank goodness they invented flat irons!! My hair used to be so easy to work with -- I could just blow it dry and be done with it - 5 minutes. Back in the day, I'd use a curling iron to flip the ends under if I wanted. Now that I've gotten older, if I let my hair dry naturally, it's just a gigantic frizz mess! Even when I blow dry it, I end up with these weird waves that I've never had before; that started about a year ago. DH and I were wondering if it was one of the meds that I'm on. Even he's noticed how bad it is, and he's usually not one to notice my hair.

Fortunately, I don't have to wash my hair every day. When I do, though, it takes me probably 20 minutes to blow it dry and flat iron it. Sometimes when it's very humid (which is at least half the time here in Texas), it takes longer, because my hair is a lot frizzier. Grrrr.

I give myself 5 minutes, then I'm done. I've also stick straight hair, until all the grey started creeping in, so I've had to deal with frizzing hair for the first time in my life. And it's also thinning like crazy, which means I can't do a lot with it, or else you can tell. It doesn't hold a perm; it doesn't hold curls. It doesn't hold hair spray or gels - it all comes out in about 30 minutes. So thankfully my stylist has come up with a cut that works for me without fuss - yay for that. I just bend over and blow dry, then brush it down when I'm upright. If I'm on day 2 or 3, I'll get out the flat iron and make everything straight if it's happening to stick out somehow strange. Now with the frizzies I can get the "beach curls" thing going in the summer, the only way I can make it look ok in all the DC humidity. Joy.

I seldom have bad hair days - I wash and blowdry every day and it takes less than ten minutes. If I get caught in the rain and the hair flattened I just walk around with that flat look til the next day.

After chemo mine doesn't hold a curl or even the volume of blow drying. So I don't usually do much with it. It's one of my goals this year to try to work with it more and see if I can get it to do anything.
And bald? Been there--done that and believe me you wouldn't like it. You end up with bad hat days.

I have straight fine hair and I just really don't mess with it much anymore...dry it, run the straightener through it, finger comb it, spray and go. It takes 10 min tops. I've had it super short and super long, right now it's somewhere in between. I fussed with it so much more short. I prefer long because - ponytail :giggle or clip on a bad hair day.

I have wavy hair, so yes, it misbehaves sometimes. But I don't care to do much with my hair. Shampoo, comb, and let it air dry. The only occasional challenge is coordinating the timing. Because I air dry my hair, I usually want to wash it a couple hours before I go out, especially on cold days.

I have also said a few times I would like to be bald so I wouldn't have to deal with hair anymore! :)

Short hair here but I still have those bad days when I want some "lift" and instead I have flat. I don't really worry though about it.

I do have bad hair days if I don't do anything . . . mostly because it's a mixture of straight and wavy and finger-in-the-light-socket areas from the grays. LOL

My routine now is to shower and wash my hair at night. I let it air dry. Then in the morning, I zip out my flat iron and I can style my hair in 10 minutes . . . at the most, 15 minutes. If I have to blow dry my hair, that adds at least 10 minutes because my hair holds onto water like something crazy! The flat iron has been the blessing in all of it. It's a Babyliss extra wide flat iron and it makes my hair so smooth and silky. I love it!

This has been the best hairstyle as far as time investment. I used to spend forever on my hair, and it's such freedom to be able to style it quickly and have it looking great.

How do you people dry your hair in 10 minutes? My hair isn't that thick, but it takes more than 10 minutes! Cheez! :giggle

If it's really wet, like I just got out of the shower and started blow drying, it's a good 15 minutes. It try not to do that if I can help it, and let my hair air dry for at least a short period of time. That lets me cut it down to 10 minutes. My hair isn't as thick as it used to be!

I got a hair cut last night - and it's shorter than it's been - but only took 15-20 minutes to dry and curl it this AM. Phew - now I hope this continues! LOL!
Oh what we women go through just to be presentable!

Yay for a good haircut! :) And you aren't kidding about what we go through to get ready. I've threatened more than once to go all Sinead O'Connor and buzz off all my hair.
