Back to School time...

We have been back at school for a few weeks here in OZ after the mid-year break so luckily its not the big school shop time of year for me .... January will be my next big school shop as my youngest starts High School :D
 
We have six weeks left until our kids go back and I'm glad since it feels like summer hasn't yet arrived. It's been such a cool summer for us that it feels more like spring or fall here. Blah! I want my summer sunshine so I can recharge my vitamin D battery and last me through another Michigan winter!
 
My kids go back on August 14th...which is only 3 weeks from today. I am never ready for them to go back. We've had a full and super busy summer, so I think the return to routine will be nice, but I will miss them.
 
I think every school shouldn't go back till the day after Labor Day.
 
Mine go back on the 19th. It's so depressing, I don't want summer to end! The winter was so terrible, we deserve better than this!!!
 
My kids start back on the 6th. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by. I am always torn around this time because I like having them home with me and not having the whole school rush homework thing to worry about but at the same time I'm tired of hearing all the bickering and realize we need schedule again.
 
UGH. Just UGH. Not ready to think about it! I still have 4 1/2 weeks until I go back and then kids after Labor Day. I don't mind being at work, it's the rushed, homework-filled, no time for anything evenings that I'm not ready for just yet.
 
We have about a month left too, school starts on the 21st! I'm not really ready for summer to be over, but cheer has already started, so it might as well be. It's be so cool, we haven't really gotten to swim in weeks and I'm so sad about that!! I'm mostly done with my shopping, she just needs new shoes. I think we're ready to be on a more normal schedule though, this morning the girls slept until 11!!
 
Mine go back the day after Labor Day. I can't find our assigned school supply list anywhere, but I have started getting things I'm sure are on there. The 1st grader doesn't need much. Maybe some new shorts & pants. The 4 year old is causing the headache. He goes one day a week to speech preschool at the local elementary. But, he is still fighting potty training. He needs to be fully trained by Winter for pre-k. He's just plain stubborn. Every day that goes by, I get more & more worried that he'll be held back from kindergarten. At least his speech is really good. Geez Louise.
 
Mine go back on the 7th - the oldest has been on a road trip with my parents for the past 10 days so we are going to find some end of summer fun in the next week, and we need to get closets cleaned up to see what we need clothes-wise (but they will need shorts until nearly November!)
 
My girls go back on the 19th, We just came back from our holiday, gladly it was good weather so the girls were mostly outside. Hope the weather stays this way, so we can do al lot of outside things. They also going to spend some nights by my parents so we have time to do some things in the house!
 
wow, some of you guys start really early. I am assuming that you end early? Here in NYC last day of school is usually the last week of June and the kids don't go back to school until after labor day.
 
I had no idea it was so different... the kids finished for the holidays on Tuesday this week, and they don't go back until the first or second week of September :)

We are done the Thursday after Memorial Day. :) (Unless we have snow days, of course!)
