    Welcome to the August Art Journaling Monthly Muse!

    Muse:
    verb: to reflect deeply on something
    noun: the source of artistic inspiration

    This month is gonna be all about SIGNS.

    Each week we will explore different aspects of this versatile word.
    There are so many ways to use this word, so don't feel boxed in by my prompts, but try to use them a little.
    PROMPT: Laughter is a sign you are either happy or insane! bhahah
    Here are some examples, take a sign and add to it:

    Find a sign that just makes you laugh right out loud and use it or the words:

    You may create any style of layout (ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.) you wish, but for this challenge you do need to use ONE of the prompts on your page(visually or with images). Create any size page you wish. This is for everyone, so have fun and see where the inspiration takes you. If you want all 4 Muses on one page that's perfectly ok or you can make 4 separate pages!! It's totally up to you! :)

    Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to August 31st and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code".

    We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).

    I Have A Question?...Do We Have To Use The Photo Of The Signs You Have Here?...Do We Have To Pick One Of These?...Or Can We Just Pick Any Sign We Want That Is Different From What You Have Here?...Can We Combine 2 Different Signs That We Have Pics Of Instead Of The Ones That You Chose Here>?...Thanks RJ...

    I am the most easiest challenge host in scrap history. You can use anything you want...what makes me happy is that I prompted you to enjoy and create!
    I can't wait to see what you come up with...im already excited.

    Ps I just read my challenge language. I admit to cut and copying. My bad.
    So I wave my magic wand of happiness and laughter...freedom to create something inspired from my babbling.

    Oh Yes!...I Started Doing These Monthly Muse Challenges Last Month For The First Time & I Haven't Stopped...I Have Done Them All Ever Since Then...Week #1-4 In July & Now...August Week #1-3 Until I Get This Week's Layout Done...Then It Will Be Week #1-4 For August!...I Really Love These Challenges...I Like Thinking Outside The Box...Sometimes Way Out But I Love Anything That Challenges Me To Create Something New & Different...I'm Not An Expert Art Journaler But I Love Art Dolls(Also A New Obsession!)...So I Often Times Collab The Two Styles Together Or Not...Maybe Something More Traditional But Not Exactly...I Do A Lot Of Blending In My Layouts & I Always Mix Many Styles Together...That Is Why I Like These Challenges...Thanks For The Clarification...Smiles & Thanks...RJMJ...:banana

    Thanks For The Great Challenge!...Laughter Can Be The Best Medicine...So They Say...Whoever They Are?...After Some Thinking...I Decided To Do Prompt #2-Find A Sign That Makes You Laugh...I Found A Road Sign That Says:

    *"Truth Or Consequences" & An Arrow Pointing Down The Road...One To The Left & One To The Right...HUH?...

    *I Laughed So Many Times Looking At This..So I Decided To Also Do Prompt #3-Combine A Few Signs To Make My Happy...I Did This...I Added 1 More Sign...It Says:

    *"Next 4 Miles"...

    *So Both Signs Put Together Would Read:Truth Or Consequences Next 4 Miles...

    *I Had So Much Fun Making This Layout...It Is Definitely A Collage Style But Done A Bit More Deliberate & I Have Also Included A Bunch Of Vintage Travel Ephemera Signs From The "Life Is An Adventure"-Collab By The Lilypad...The Theme Is Pretty Obvious...I Hope...It Is Celebrating The "Road Trip" Of Summer Idea...Lots Of Blending Here & Lots Of WA & Images To Help Convey My Summer Road Trip Layout...

    @AnneofAlamo thanks for wrapping up and month with this great challenge! I was laughing so hard when I was looking for these signs online. What fun!! The google eyes on the Cover Girl model about did me in. :rofl:rofl I decided to do a pocket page, because it seems easier for me. The hardest part was deciding which signs to use. I will probably do another page.

    It was great, Anne!! My daughter heard me and came in to see what I was laughing so hard at. All I had to do was show her that picture with the google eyes. :rofl
