MY newest Mac died last night. I have no idea why, I was actually scrapping in the old one, then when I wanted to go post the page, the screen was black and I thought it went to sleep...nothing,
I tried everything,
Long story short, I will see if my new Mac was bought this year or last, Sarita says it should be under warranty, I'm not too sure-
I'm devastated....
MY carer broke my coffee machine (which could seem luxury to come but for me picking up pots & pans with boiling water is a no go area...and then broke my washing machine.
I thought this was one of those thing that come with a huge silver lining as I found a lady who used to work for me and she is not only avalable, but her other job is just 10 minutes walk from mine.
With the computer thing... I'm devastated as I m not sure it can be fixed this week or if I ll have the money for it.
so, if I am not around as usual, is because I am trying to sort all this out,
I"m on the old `mac now but it doesn't work properly yo go online (I only use it to scrap) buy we have a tablet I ll try using that...
Thank you so much for all the support you always give me...and any prayers, good energy, some good thoughts, will be much appreciated.
Huggzzz

oh sylvia, you are in my thoughts, i hope things improve soon , sending good vibes your way hugs gill

Oh no! I hope you find it is still under warranty. We're having difficulty with the laptop we gave our daughter this Christmas too. We've already sent it back for repair once and it looks like we're going to have to do it again. And it's annoying because we ordered from NewEgg online so we have to ship it across the country. I would totally regret it except we got our son a desktop computer at the same time, same place, and his is working well.

Good luck!

Oh no, I hope you get that Mac thing figured out and good to hear you found a carer that is so close (between her jobs!) and one that you like/trust. Hoping it all works out for you Cynthia!

I do hope the mac is under warranty.. glad you found a new care giver. I do hope all gets sorted for you soon my dear. Hugs, thoughts and prayers your way.

Hey Cynthia!

I've had a similar situation with my Mac laptop in the past and there were a couple of tips in the users manual that worked for me. I know once I had to remove and re-seat the battery. The other one was a series of key commands. But, have Sarina help you look up what to do when you screen goes black in your user guide. You might well find it to be a simple fix. Best of luck!

OMG, I am so sorry to hear that. Remember, everything comes in threes, so after the coffee maker, the washing machine and the Mac, the good times are about to start.

Oh no...I really hope it is under warranty. Not what you need right now. Fingers crossed.

Oh Cynthia!!! I'm so sorry to hear this! When it rains, it pours. This is your new iMac, right? Any chance the power cord got loose where it plugs into the back of the machine? Praying the solution to your problem is under warranty and an easy fix!!! <3

That's too bad, Cynthia, hopefully you can find a quick fix from the manual or else get it covered under warranty.
