Are you using MOC to make an album or just random pages?

I was going to finish my DYD album, witch got put aside when my grandmother died = but here i am starting Day 9 and not done a single DYD page, hehe. Ah well.

Last year I just went for the pages, but when it was finished and I kinda liked what I saw...I made a cover, then made a Pinterest board, and have it ready to go in a book, just haven't had spare money yet... but I'm going to try make the sam with this year!! :)

I try to make every page I make something that I need to scrap to complete a page in my albums (I have many going at once!), but some of the pages I must admit I just make for the challenge. See, I rarely scrap a page with one photo, unless I only have one photo of an event. I usually scrap with 5+ photos. So, if there's a challenge with only one photo, I try to make the page so I can add more photos to it after I post it, or it goes into the "extra pages" file.

Yep, this is what I do too. From what I've seen of the challenges, some aren't generic enough to be useful in any of my albums. For instance, I could work outside the box to come up with a song/album title LO I could use, but to do one about my own life would never be printed - and likely just deleted. I don't have much scrapping time, so I really can't afford to do any LO's I won't be able to use. I love the prompts, though, so I'll be taking advantage of the challenges that I can use for inspiration, but no chance of completing MOC this year.

I print chronologically, and have projects that are event or trip specific. These layouts are using photos that I need to scrap, or making layouts using the prompts that I didn't expect - but they'll all end up in one or another of my in progress projects. I'm not sure I'll manage all of them, but I'm trying!

I'm scrapping whatever fits the challenge! I hadn't even thought that 31 pages of challenges would make a great album! Maybe next year I can try that! ;)

I haven't made any albums from my digital pages yet. I've printed some pages in the past. But, yeah, I'm not structured like that. I scrap for whatever the challenge is. I mainly scrap from challenges anyway, cuz if I try to start without an idea, I'll be staring at a blank screen for a long time.

I scrap for the challenge and if it fits into an album (and most always do) then so much the better. My biggest issue is that I normally scrap double page spreads and find that I don't have time to do that during MOC. So some pages that fit into albums will have a blank page before the next one unless I create another single page from the same day/event. Since I rarely use single photos in my pages, but find them easier for MOC, I have plenty of photos to use on the "missing" page.

2015 was my first year and I managed to get my son and daughter's pages caught up for their yearly book I print for them (daughter for her bday in May, son for his anniversary in Oct). I am doing mostly the same thing again this year as well...with the exception of the challenges that are about me or not about them...

I started with the intent of putting them all in my 2016 album but then I started to feel restricted so I'm setting myself free and I think I'm going to steal the idea of making an 8x8 just for me. I'd love proof of how much I've grown over each challenge.

I'm using mine in my vacation book....disney world and sanibel! So my book will have a few extra pages. I normally don't have a lot of pages with fee pics bc I take to many and have to keep them all. I have a problem...lol. but I love my layouts with few pics. Wish I could widdle the pics down more....

I'm totally just scrapping whatever photos/themes work with the challenges. I'm skipping around a lot and also jumping between regular layouts and Project Life. It feels good to get more layouts done all-around!

I totally scrap random and never print. BUT I just might print my MOC LOs in a book. Just for the fun of saying look what I did one month. LOL!

I'm freakishly organized. I made pages for my albums whenever I could fit them in the challenge. They aren't necessarily chronological now, but they will be when the book is done. I did finish my 2014 family book during MOC - yay! I have a spreadsheet and mark pages done to keep straight what events I have scrapped so far. This system came into practice when I started scrapping pictures and then realized I had already done a page for them!

There were some challenges that won't fit into my current projects, but I think I will eventually print those in a "book about me" someday since they were all the introspective challenges.

Mine are random but I had pulled out several vintage shots that I wanted to scrap and got some of them done. Maybe this will give me incentive to do more vintage layouts.

I tried (and mostly succeeded) in scrapping the last of my 2013 & early 2014 photos! I used MOC as a great way to catch up! Those layouts will then go into the corresponding year's album. I don't put them in any particular order- just all of that year. No pressure that way! ;)

I do a calendar each year and I will probably use a few of the layouts created during MOC in the calendar.

What works for me is to reduce my 12 x 12 to 8 x 8 and move it to a 8 x 10 document. I then fill in the background with a color from my layout, add some noise to the background, go to the layout layer, add a drop shadow, flatten and save. I then upload this document to Walgreens since it is in the neighborhood. When Walgreens has a 40% off sale, I print my layouts. I put them into an 8.5 x 11 page protector and pop them into a binder. Plus I have found the most wonderful binder that has D rings, a huge opener clip that makes opening the rings a snap, and best of all a circle opening in the spine to allow you to grab the binder and pull if off the shelf with ease. This year I printed 24 pages from MOC. But, when I went to my gallery to count I saw 2 more I want to print. This year I was able to really document through the challenges.

A book would definitely make 2 page spreads look nicer but this system works for me. It's chronological by when I do the LO.

Here's the binder I was talking about with some of my MOC LO's:
