Hi everyone and welcome to the April challenges. This month I get to bring your our Photography Challenge!
Every community has that one thing. Maybe it's a piece of local scuplture, an outdoor mural that everyone uses as a meeting spot, or even a strangely shaped oak tree in the park. It's the stuff that doesn't make the "Top 10 Tourist Attractions" list but makes your neighbourhood feel like home! Your mission this month is to capture a piece of your local DNA and preserve it on your scrapbook page.
Go outside and take a new photo of something unique to your specific community. It can be anything: a landmark, a quirky storefront, or even a local "character" (with permission, of course!).
In addition to your photo, tell us what it is (in case it isn't obvious) and why it matters.
Don't worry about finding something "Pinterest-perfect". The best scrapbook pages are often about the mundane things we see every day but forget to appreciate.
For my page I captured the art wraps on the utility boxes in the neighbourhood. They prevent tagging and graffiti and look great!

Remember our monthly challenge rules:
Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread.
The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:
2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off
If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
