Welcome to a new month of challenges here at the Lilypad. I'm excited to host the April Inspiration Challenge this month, based on springtime!

I love this time of year here in Alberta. Getting outdoors with the dogs and my camera to enjoy the warmth, sunshine, blooming flowers and warm breezes is a welcome change after a cold winter.

From this moodboard, choose 3 things (or more) that inspire your creativity. Maybe it'll be the colors or the framing/composition or the subject of these images, or maybe you will find something entirely different in these images to inspire you.

List your 3 (or more) choices for inspiration along with your layout.

For my layout, I took inspiration from the floating petals (scatter), the rows of stones (vertical center paper strips) and purple and green colors.

Inspiration Challenge Rules:
  • Create a new layout, taking inspiration from at least 3 things from the moodboard.
  • When posting your LO here, please list the inspirations that inspired you.

**Note: When posting in the gallery, please post to the member gallery and then tag the "Inspiration challenge" and tag all the designers of the products used.

Also: Please link pages in the forum threads for challenges with the Copy GALLERY BB code.

This helps the Pollys for checking challenges, plus everyone for leaving Love in the gallery!!! Thanks!

======================================================================================

Remember our monthly challenge rules:

Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread.

The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month:

2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off

If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).

Have fun!

I was inspired by the flowers along the edges of the bottom left image - added my flowers along the edges.
I was inspired by the clouds in the top left image - added white dots to my background.
I was inspired by the colour scheme of greens and blues and the reflection of the top left image - patterned paper reflecting each other and my colour pallete.

Hi Everyone...I always like to do a challenge that has a few photos for inspiration...It opens up for a more open type of inspiration...Especially, in this case,to me...these photos seem so to have an airy feeling...breezy and filled with movement...They also remind me of the upcoming spring weather...But, it is still cold where I live,we had snow flurries , for 2 days in a row and some hail and pouring down rain and cold, cold , winds...UGH!...Where is my Spring?...It still feels like fall/winter here...So over it...Waiting for the sun to shine! and to see those beautiful spring flowers...but I digress...LOL...

*As Inspiration : for this challenge : I chose a little something : from all 4 photo inspiration shown : It was all about the colors I see : Blue/Green/Yellow/Creamy Beige in those swirly clouds...I love using multiple colors in a layout color scheme...To me,that also dictates and goes back to the main theme of my layout and that feeling of movement that I eluded to earlier...My layout is called the "Cycle Of Life" so again more themes about movement, time and change...Like the new season to come, as I wait patiently for this to happen...but the signs are there...The days are getting longer slowly, the nights are not as dark and the sunset sets later too...The collection I used for this layout , is called "In Transit" , so again all about movement, change and perhaps , the passage of time. There are some more personal , items included in my layout...If you didn't know anything about my own personal life and/or story, you may not even know or notice...like the number "53"...my Sweet Mom died many years ago now and she was 53 when she passed away...I have outlived her...and a lot of you know about my sweet husband passing away too from terminal cancer, after us spending almost 30 years together...and so the number "9" being the day he passed away , June 9th 2023...and the number "6" being , the sixth month, he also passed away...Green is my Mom's favorite color , so green is evident here...plus, the stamps have the word "Canada" on them and there is a beaver on those stamps , representing , being Canadian and living in Canada...Blue was my Sweet Ray's favorite color , so blue is in there...both colors representing change and the vintage clock representing the same idea, vintage as opposed to a new clock...I know you get where I am going with this thinking...Also the #3 is my favorite number and red is my favorite color...The color "yellow" also represents brighter days to come and more positive "light" to be let in...With feelings of nostalgia tied in to this vintage theme and all the circles representing the way life always moves forward and continues to do so,even when we don't see it or want it to...Sometimes, we wish we could turn back time, but we can't do that...So we try to make peace with all of our precious memories ...so onward and forward we will endeaver to go and move forward with intent..."Still Standing" ...and continuing, to contribute to all of those "Circle" of life moments to come and all of those upcoming times ahead...in our future....

Spring challenges like this always get me motivated again. I’d probably go with the soft purple and green colors, the floating petals, and the nature theme overall. After a long winter, anything that feels fresh and light is perfect for creativity.

I was inspired by the birds (bird photo & tape), the greens and purples (greens in photo, purple flairs), the pops of yellow (like my pop of red/orange bird and pink flair)

Thank you for hosting the Inspiration Challenge @bcgal00. Here is my submission…
My inspiration from the subjects in the challenge were: 1. Triangles created by the grass in the top left picture. 2. Tiny flowers. 3. The colors yellow and green.
