APRIL Froggy Favorites!

I had a flare up with my right hand yesterday, I think I overdid ut with pages for SOSN, so wont be typing much, but here are some pages that NEED to be shared!!!!!!!!

It is amazing how a couple of key changes completely alters the feel of the two pages. I love how the background, in both, takes on the look of an alien landscape with cloudy sky, mountains and bumpy terrain and how the addition of the coloured paint and ink splatters in Everydaylife1(top) gives it a volcanic type feel. This adds to the defiant strong vibe of the girl, in 1, emphasised by the dramatic contrast created by the photo manipulation, the weapon like look of the floral bulb stem, emphasised by the paint and scribbles, and the white circles that pop her image forward and frame her face. This all adds up to the feeling of wanting to stand back and give her space. In contrast the blending of the photo in Everydaylife2 (bottom), softens her look, pushes everything backwards (her hair fading into the distance), emphasises her femininity, through the use of pink and focuses your attention on her eyes, rather than her whole face, which draws you in, making you want to get closer.

I love the way the girl is gazing off into the distance, her green eyes, how the part of the hair and neck covered with journaling take on the look of a tree silhouette, emphasised by the tree foliage on the other side of the face and the vein like roots going up her neck and over the face, the clustering, choice of backing paper and inclusion of the word bits ‘somehow we are all connected’.
