I love to spend time on IG scrolling planner spreads. I use Teams and OneNote for work planning and a digital planner for personal (so I can decorate it with scrapping supplies) Every year, I have to talk myself out of a paper planner because I don't want all the sticker and washi clutter. I'm a pharmacist and I think we are all obsessed with pens and notebooks-our nerdy side. I used to line up multiple colors of pens when I was taking notes in college (back before the internet) Anyone else?
I'm mum to a planner nerd, does that count? i don't need to see those IG posts b/cos she is a living one. I believe Feb is fish themed - she has drawn a bunch of somewhat empty tanks and fish bowls in the grid/dot planner thing to add ?info to throughout the month. (She started off as a 'bullet journaller' before school went online during the pandemic and then it fell by the way side but she's picked it back up in the last few years). I think last month was potplants like succulents and stuff - i know she bought washi tapes that fit that theme and she just ordered more stuff and told me to expect a package in the next week but i didn't ask specifically ask what it was this time, just smiled and nodded. The last box was quite an 'unboxing' (on the kitchen bench), stickers, pens and washi galore. She has done 'digital planning' with Canva (i think or maybe she paid for another app??), is that what you use?
My youngest daughter is a planner nerd. She loves to make lists and has all the different markers and color codes them.
I wish I was a planner nerd. I've seen a couple people I follow on IG who make amazing planners, but every time I've tried I'm not happy with the results and just give up. Lol. I love to look at other people who are good at it though!
I have seen some fantastic digital planners that are used in the Goodnotes app on ipad. You can bring in your digital scrapbooking elements, photos, use the apple pencil to hand write journaling. They're wonderful. I tried one for awhile but it was hobby overload, I put it aside. I am surprised more digital scrapbook designers have not moved into goodnotes planners, with their existing kits they're halfway there
I use a Hobonichi Techo that I love more than anything. But, I'm not much of a decorator. Keeping up with the daily planning and journaling is the most I can do.
I'm a huge planner nerd! I make my pages with scrapbook products and use an A5 rings planner. I love browsing our planner gallery to see what others are making. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/categories/planner-pages.1147/
I live and thrive by my (paper) planner. I have a Classic Happy Planner for myself and a Teacher Happy Planner for homeschool prep. I'm not decorating the teacher planner much this year but my everything planner has to be cute and colorful. I use a lot of the actual Happy Planner stickers and collect freebies from planner sticker designers. I also make my own sometimes with my scrapbooking stash. I don't have anything with current TLP designers or I'd show you. I have a rainbow of Flair pens (in a zipper bag that says "this might be full of Flair pens" because Amazon suggested it and my husband bought it for me) and am really in love with the scented packs. They're my pick-me-up when things are hard. My planner is a ton of checklists, trackers, and appointments so I sneak in cuteness wherever I can. My bestie even brought me washi tapes from France in 2023 that I'm finally using
I love my planners. Like @Brendazzle I have a Classic Happy Planner at home and a Teacher one at school. I love them because I can add and take things out easily. I used to be much better about decorating than I am now. I think it's because my Silhouette Cameo is on it's last legs. I have the very first one and haven't pulled the trigger on an upgrade. I also have all the colored pens...each activity gets it's own color
I use a Cyberry planner by kdigitalstudio. She has 3 monthly calendars for each month and each week has a horizontal, vertical and a blank spread. Some weeks I am purely functional and some weeks I make a full decorative spread. Digital allows me to make it my own- I get frustrated with one layout for the year. I even make my OneNote cute with colored boxes and cute fonts for work. I can access my digital planner via my phone or iPad mini via Goodnotes.
I am absolutely a situational planner nerd. I say situational, because I will buy them and all the gadgetry and then forget to use them. LOL. My nerdom really has no limits and I can be quite the consumer.
