My antivirus subscription is soon due and I am wondering what software do those here use?
Is one any better than another? What do you all recommend?

Thankyou to whoever helps me with this.

What operating system do you have? If your Windows 10, you may not need additional protection.

Here is an interesting idea - our Netgear router is offering security protection to run on the router so that any device connected to it is protected.

I like Bev's idea of router-based security! I'm going to look into that. :) For my laptop, I have Webroot. I like it; it doesn't seem to slow down my computer but it does work (or so it would seem lol). ETA: I run Windows 10.

@BevG I have Windows 7

Thankyou everyone for what you have shared.

I use the built in Windows security and Malwarebytes.
Same same
My FIL bought an anti virus prog from Harvey Norman that they recommended & he had a heck of a time with it (I don't think it was Norton but it didn't play nice with windows or the whole system at all & DH ended up removing it all for him - I think it was Kaspersky- & we wouldn't be without malware bytes)

I've used Avast for many years. New computer had Norton on it. Got rid of it ASAP. Also use Malwarebytes.

I've used Norton for almost 20 years. It was the software the law office used when I worked there. Now the subscription our family has is called Norton 360. Has kept our computers safe for years!

I use AVG which is what my hubby recommended years ago. We just use the free version and have never had any problems. (knock on wood). I'm on Windows 10 too, but I used it when I had Windows 7 also.
