And now the iPhone died!

What is it round here? (my house i.e.) This afternoon, my NC son and wife dropped in before heading north to the airport tonight to pick up granddaughter who went fishing in Alaska with dh. We were checking each other's iPhone cases and mine phone was fine. After they left, I went to check the weather on my phone and it was DEAD. None of the charges did anything. Just plain black screen. Period.

Enough already!!!

It's eligible to be replaced but really? Am I being hit with magnetic waves??? or something? pre-eclipse solar flares? North Korean Kimchi crud? then again if there's a nuclear attack all this will be a moot point. If I weren't staying up till dh gets home late tonight I'd take a sleeping pill and get under the covers till it's a new day. Maybe a new week. :badmood

ETA: Resolved!!! Maybe by writing it here my brain remembered...try a hard reset. It WORKED! It's interesting that the phone had been connected to two different chargers this afternoon and evening but only has 30% charge. Right now I'll take what I can get. Fortunately, I have my Genius Bar appoint tomorrow.

I'm still curious as to what happened with the phone...

Well, I'm glad it's fixed! But man! It's like a crazy electromagnetic field around your house!

Ugh. Phones, amiright?

I'm glad it's at least starting for you, and hopefully you can get it back to 100% charged before tomorrow's appt if only to give you time to explain what happened and for them to look at your phone! (ETA: will they answer phone questions when you're there for a computer?)

My Android phone did a software update last week and it is now messed up in weird, random ways. At first it wouldn't charge when plugged in (it even said I wasn't using an original charger--I WAS!); battery dying after 7 hrs of non-use (vs the 2 days I'd get from a charge before the update); Instagram not loading videos (is that a big deal? No, but it IS annoying). Anyway, I've kind of fixed some of the issues, but it's like Verizon updated my phone simply to force me to buy a new one. *grumble grumble*

I had something similar happen with my ipad this week - had to do an update and restore to get back to 100% use

Glad you fixed your iPhone. I hope your iMac is also fixed during your appointment. Technology can sometimes be such a pain!

My phone fell in the toilet last night, yes the toilet. I was probably overdue for a new phone anyway. But, I really liked my old phone. I got the new version which is thinner & taller. It keeps rejecting hubby's texts though. Virgin Mobile & I have been working on it all day. Ugh!!!

That's crazy!! Glad you were able to get it up and running again! I'd probably still take it into Apple to see if they can figure out whats going on. In the mean time...don't forget to back it up!

I will straight up ugly cry when my Note 4 dies...

I know how frustrating it is when our electronics fail. I'm glad you got it going again.

Ugh! What a lot of technology issues in one week! Glad you got it up and running again though. I've had my phone do that randomly once in a great while and then after a hard reset, it's fine again with no problems. Hopefully that's the case for you!
