I love them but I don't use them often! I will admit I have a hard time using brackets though. This one is pretty much hid
I have always like and used ampersands in journaling cause I can get more words in that way! and I adore them as elements but do tend for forget them. This does remind me to use some brackets again. I have a couple favorites from 10 years ago!
I will use them in titles and on a layout where there's a picture of multiple people, where I can think of them as a design element meaning something like, "you and me." But I don't use them beyond that. I feel like even if I know they can be design elements, non-scrappers (ie, all of my family members) looking at my books will be looking at the ampersand and trying to figure out why in the world I used an "and" on the page.
