DS and I are headed out today! He is going to see a movie with a couple of friends, and since the theater they are going to is about an hour away, I am going to shop, shop, shop while they are in the movies! I am honestly feeling a little giddy at the thoughts of shopping all by myself, only where I want!! Unless I am specifically shopping for one of the kids, I much prefer to shop alone and look at what I want to look at for as long as I want! I haven't done that for a longggg time!

How about you? Do you like shopping alone or with other people?

I prefer going alone and have for a long time. I usually go for a reason, look at what I'm looking for and get out of there. The all day shopping trips are something I haven't done for years. But I will say that once in awhile it is nice to go with someone else if you are both on the same wavelength as to what you are going for. But more money can get spent when doing that LOL

Even pre-COVID, I rarely shopped in-person but whether I'm with another adult or not isn't as important as being kid-free. A whiny kid is such a shopping moodkiller.

If I go shopping, which isn't very often these days, I prefer to shop alone. When I do go, my DD and GD's usually go with me, but we split up and meet back up in a specified time. We've always called it "divide and conquer". I pretty much refuse to go with my husband. If I HAVE to - I tell him to go sit down and wait for me. Shopping with him is one of those things I can count on two hands - that's how rare it is.

I love shopping but generally also go when the shops are quiet - avoiding month end and weekends - a benefit of being a SAHM. I prefer getting groceries in person so I can choose what I want and not rely on someone else giving me milk that expires in a day or two instead of the one right at the back of the fridge that expires in a week instead.
I have not bought clothes or even underwear since covid but really need some new undies.

I dont shop much... but eric loves it a lot.. so I tag along. I do a lot of online shopping by myself..lol. . If that counts...
Also love antique stores ..

Well, chronic back pain + COVID restrictions + cancer diagnosis + being immunocompromised have left me with precious little in-person shopping. I **did** go to a store last weekend - Tuesday morning - but went in to buy a new dog bowl for our puppy Piper and looked down the craft aisle. Hubby would have stayed longer with me, but I was hurting AND sweating from hot flash and from wearing a mask, so we left after about 15-20 minutes.

Hubby does the shopping OR we do an online order for groceries + H&B. I've found that with online ordering, I can choose to not have replacements so that I can get the brands or specific items I want. I do love to wander the produce aisles at Publix, but again, that was so long ago.

Overall, I'd rather be shopping for clothes and home decor and makeup with my daughter, my sister, my mom, and my aunt but I will shop alone if I have to. LOL

enjoy your shopping time!!

If I have to shop I'd so much rather shop alone!!! I get frustrated when others wander off and I just like to get in and get it done. hahaha

I love to go shopping alone, I enjoy browsing around the shops, stopping in cafe for coffee and people watching for ages. Food shopping the husband tags along, but I prefer to do that alone as well. I get the job done so much quicker, my husband is away with the fairies when we go shopping lol so easier if he stays in car or at home.

Husband doesn't like shopping so he is happy for me to go off and shop alone whether it be food shopping, clothes shopping, or furniture shopping.

Totally depends on the purpose for me....majority of the time I prefer to be on my own, can stop and rest as I need to and I don’t feel rushed.

Hope you enjoyed your shopping alone bliss. I totally prefer to shop alone because if anyone else is with me I always feel rushed and can't just browse. I have one friend that I will go clothes shopping with and that's kinda fun because you can get opinions on whether something looks okay on you apart from the views in the fun house mirrors they usually have in the try on rooms. Lol. There's nothing better than browsing in a craft store with no time limit and nobody waiting in the car for you. :agree

Hoping you found lots on your trip! Not a shopper... unless I'm with friends, lol! Then it's fun! Kids are easy - in/out and pretty quick.

Alone for anything crafty for sure. The rest I can take it or leave it, but I will say grocery shopping gets more expensive when Tony is actually with me in the shop, rather than waiting in the car ( like he usually prefers ).
I hope you had a lovely time.

It really depends on my mood. I enjoy shopping with my daughter. I never going shopping with friends. I am more the buy kind of girl than the shop for entertainment person. I get bored. The only exception is when we are on vacation. Then mindless wandering of shops is entertainment.

Rarely are my husband and I both in shopping moods at the same time - which is good as there is someone to say ah, no. But there have been times when both of us were in shopping mode - yeah, we have gone overboard a few times. We even own timeshares at 3 different places - but they are all paid for and we use them, give them away, and sell weeks for our cost.

I prefer alone. I do like shopping with my teen girls....but usually when we just want to be goofy and have fun (we like making fun of clothes - is that bad?). If it's serious shopping then I need to go alone.

Honestly, if I can, I like to go shopping once a quarter. These days, it's been like once a year. I like to be alone because I can spend hours enjoying colors and textures and running back and forth in the store being all indecisive on the color match and texture match. In another post, I was not kidding that my style is "pajamas" lol! Even though I build a nice, fashionable wardrobe, at the end of the day, I just want to be comfortable and warm. I can't even tell you how many times I've taken a shirt or pair of pants to the good will with the tag still on. Seemed like a good purchase at the time. I purge the closets. Artifact of moving all the time.

Because of Covid we do most shopping online and get in and out as quickly as possible if we must do it in person. But even when we're not in the middle of a pandemic, I'm not a shopper. I go when there's something I need, not as a fun way to spend time. I prefer to go alone so that I can spend as much time as I need to finding the right thing. I'm hard to fit for clothes, so I end up trying a ton of things on just to find a couple of things to buy. And for house stuff I'm indecisive, spending forever deliberating between 2 colors or reading online reviews as I stand looking at things in the store. (And shopping habits aside, time to myself is always a luxury. Time to myself out of the house? It's almost enough to make me like shopping!)
