As a desktop publisher Affinity publisher has a lot of tools for the manipulation, arrangement and formatting of text. One of those is word wrapping. It enables me to wrap my journaling around elements etc. This only works with text that is created inside text boxes. You can not wrap text that is word-art text.

For this tutorial I am using elements from the Apricity kit by @ninigoesdigi

    1. Create some journaling with the Text Box Tool.
(See Affinity Basics 4 - Text)
    2. Add one or more elements and place them overlapping the text.
    3. Select all the elements you want to wrap the text around
    4. Click on the Text Wrap Tool.

    5. Here you can set the parameters for the wrapping. Experiment with the different settings to see what you like. My most commonly used setting is Tight, and Largest Side.

    6. Move one or more of the elements - notice that the text changes to accommodate the moving element.
