For this tutorial I'm using @Gina Miller's new Agnes Ribbons pack for the June BYOC. Arrange your ribbons so that the ribbons in the same orientation as each other are next to each other in the layers. Have all the ribbons from one direction on-top of the ribbons in the other direction. Click on each of the top set of ribbons one at a time and add a mask layer (default settings) Open the layers to show the mask layers in the layer panel by clicking on the little arrow symbol next to the layer icon. Select a basic brush from the brushes panel, and set the colour to black. For my example I have 2 horizontal ribbons at the bottom, and 3 vertical ribbons on the top. Select the first horizontal ribbon. Go to the menu and choose Select - Selection from Layer Click on the mask layer for the first blue vertical ribbon. Choose the brush tool Paint out the part of the blue ribbon that overlaps the ribbon with the "marching ants". Click on the mask layer for the second blue vertical ribbon, and paint out the part of the blue ribbon that overlaps the ribbon with the "marching ants". Select the second horizontal ribbon. Go to the menu and choose Select - Selection from Layer Click on the mask layer for the yellow vertical ribbon. Choose the brush tool Paint out the part of the yellow ribbon that overlaps the ribbon with the "marching ants". You can watch me scrap a page using this technique here:
