I saw something in another thread about making kit previews the icon you see on your files instead of the generic file folder. How do you do this?? I have a mac and I've been playing around trying to do this and can't seem to figure it out. Anyone out there know what I'm talking about and how to do it? Thanks
no mac, but my pc (stands a bit taller, cause mac always make me look bad) already automatically shows the jpg as the icon for the kit? my mom is a mac girl, but she is one of those...well, i can never ask her...bhwaoaohaha
oh I did this! It's so delightful to see all my folder previews in Bridge. So, say your kit name is Sunshine. Go to the SunshinePreview.jpg file (most kits give you a Preview image). Open it in Preview. Cmmd-A to select all, Cmmd-C to copy. This copies the image. Close the preview, then go to Finder and cmmd-I or Get Info on the Folder Name. At the very top of the Info screen is the name of the folder and a picture of a little blue folder. Click on that folder so it looks highlighted and Cmmd-V to paste the image in lieu of the generic folder.
Yeah, that! It sounds complicated, but it goes fast when you get used to it. Double click, cmd A, cmd C, cmd Q, click, cmd I, click, cmd V.
The one that I use is like this: Drag a kit's preview onto the large box , then you drag the folder onto it.. viola!! the folder will have the preview of the kit...
Gee...thx... I think....now one more thing to do....set preview icons for a million kits. Oh...it'll be so cool though...so off I go to give it a try!
