I'm using ACDSee Photo Studio Standard 2019 and am wanting to see if I can change the background of the program to a lighter color as black is just too hard on my eyes. @Tree City shared this http://files.acdsystems.com/english...etting_options/IDDH_OPTIONS_VIEWERDISPLAY.htm but it didn't seem to help at all. I'm pretty sure if I could change to a lighter color background within the program I'd be more likely to use it as I'm loathe to just forget about it since I did spend money to get the program originally

Jennifer, if you go to the menu at the top, then Tools, Options, Manage mode, halfway down the page, there is a box called Display Theme where you can pick either light or charcoal for your background. I changed mine right away too, its much easier to see in light.
