A Whimsical Adventure - Challenge October 2023 CLOSED

Hey there, dear scrapper!

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! Starting this month, I'm introducing a series of monthly challenges. It's a new way for me to connect with you and see the incredible creativity that I know each of you possesses. Each month will bring a different theme, offering you a chance to dive into new creative expressions. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can't wait to see what you'll create!​

Whispers Of Autumn

This first challenge is about capturing the intangible, fleeting moments of autumn. It's a poetic and abstract theme, encouraging you to think deeply about the sounds, feelings, and stories that the wind might carry during this season.

Remember that first chill that had you reaching for a warm sweater? Or the distant aroma of a bonfire, taking you back to cozy evenings? The season's early sunsets, with their soft melancholy, signal shorter days ahead. Have you ever been captivated by a single autumn leaf, knowing its vibrant beauty is temporary? Consider the distant honking of geese heading south, or that first taste of pumpkin-spiced latte, reminiscent of autumns gone by. And as Halloween approaches, your design can either echo its spooky vibes or just revel in autumn's gentleness.

I've always been captivated by the sound of rustling leaves, but in the past few months, since I began my early sunrise walks, I've developed a deep appreciation for the early morning light of a sunrise, especially during this time of year. That gentle glow, casting elongated shadows and enveloping the world in a warm amber hue, truly resonates with me.

Objective:

Create a new digital scrapbook layout that visually represents autumnal moments and the stories they might tell and how they make you feel. Whether it's the resilience of the last autumn blooms, the beauty of a dew-covered spider web, or the distant laughter of children, dive into these autumnal whispers for your layout.

Instructions:

Here are some hints for this challenge, not strict rules. Think about the feelings and memories autumn brings. To capture these feelings, consider using design elements that show movement and emotion: patterns that twist and turn, flowing lines, or images like floating feathers or leaves caught in a breeze. Words can deepen this experience. Incorporate short poems, autumnal quotes, or your personal reflections to add layers to your design. If you're including photos, opt for ones that stir curiosity or convey tranquility.

Rules

You can create either a hybrid or a digital layout. Ensure that at least 75% of the elements and papers you use are from A Whimsical Adventure. The remaining 25% can be from another current TLP designer, covering both current and old items from the TLP Shop.

Once done, upload your page to the A Whimsical Adventure gallery. Share the gallery link in this thread and make sure your forum post links back to your gallery image. This way, I can easily find you and leave you some love. Remember to stick to the Gallery rules.

Create a fresh layout specifically for this challenge and avoid using it for others.

This challenge wraps up on October 31st, 2023.

Merethe used Autumn Breeze, Mixed Media Papers No 10 and Seasonal Reflections Mabon. She played with the light from city to the country.



Layout from Marilyn. She took this photo some time ago over at the farm where she is doing some kitty-sitting for family. The lighting was stunning with the golden harvested wheat fields, the pines and grass, the blue sky (that is now purple). There is a watershed that the cranes flock to. The photo was blended into a gradient paper from Autumn Breeze, accented with bits and pieces from Autumn Breeze, Hunting Mushrooms, The Scent of Fall and Sylvanescence
