Have you girls heard of this exercise DVD? Anyone ever tried it? I hear it really works to help you tone up and lose a little weight. I am sure I won't lose the 20lbs they are claiming, that would be too good to be true!

    Here is the scoop...
Jillian Michaels, winning trainer on NBC's "The Biggest Loser," helps you lose big — up to 20 pounds in 30 days! Her 30-Day Shred DVD includes three 20-minute circuit-training workouts that burn mega calories and build strong, lean muscle. The workouts get progressively harder so you'll keep your body challenged as you advance through workout number 1, 2 and 3.

I just started it today and it wasn't too bad. I am sure I will be sore tomorrow though. I love that it is only 20 minutes long. That I can do everyday!! I really hope it gets results. But if anything it is a great way to shake up my routine. I was getting really burned out with my spinning bike.

I have so done this but then failed. It does totally work. I am down a pant size! I haven't done it in forever though so I am going to pick it back up next year. It really works, but dude Jillian sucks and tries to kill you. I have known people who have had to stop an throw up... eek!

I've been wanting to try this for ages. It seems like it would be a great break-the-plateau workout. One of my friends did it and couldn't walk up the stairs the next day. LOL

  8. I've wanted to try it. I am good at working out as long as I don't skip. If I skip one day I fall right off the wagon. I need to get back on the wagon...

I have 30 Day Shred. I've done it a couple of times, and it's not easy. I have a Polar heart rate monitor that's calibrated to my personal information, and I never wrote it down but I think I burned about 220 calories in a 15-20 minute session on the tape (it's broken down into different sections, so you can fit it into a schedule based on how much time you have and/or how "advanced" you are .. haha .. I'm not advanced, for those keeping track)

To put that in perspective, I burn about the same number of calories in a one hour, low-impact yoga class (about 250 there), 15 minutes of moderate-intensity weight training, or about 20 minutes on an elliptical machine at a fairly brisk pace. So if you were to do the entire 30 Day Shred tape, you'd probably burn .. like .. a crapload of calories.

That is good to know about the calories Peppermint. I was wondering. And it never occurred to me to do more than one level in a day. I might have to try that when I get my endurance built up.

Yea, supposedly once you're totally ripped like Mr. Olympia you can do the entire tape in one shot.

I will never reach that point, ever. LOL I hate exercise.

Yes, I have it and I love it, when I get a chance to do it! In my first week I was able to lose 4 lbs just by doing the 20 min. workout! It's my favorite workout DVD!

I too have the video and love it! I have fallen off the wagon, but last year on Dec. 13 to January 25 or so I had lost a good 15 pounds and my bod was toned - more than I can say for it now! I love too how it is 20 minutes - totally do-able! I am up about that 15 pounds now, and my body is nothing like toned. :( Good reminder for me to get back on that horse - we are headed to Orlando in a month, so I'll be wanting to look good for that.

And yes - Jillian SUCKS when I am doing the workout, but at the end of the 30 days I was wanting to kiss her little behind!
