Ya'll are always great with ideas, so I'm throwing something else your way.

Tomorrow my DH & I are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we're stumped as to what gift to get to mark the occasion. We love to follow the "traditional" gift list to come up with something fun, and this year (china) we thought a anniversary Christmas tree ornament would be good. It's small, it commemorates the milestone it is, and it doesn't add more cutter to our house. Great idea, but what I've seen is either junk, not made of china, or not to our taste.

I do collect china teacups and teapots, but I've no room or need for more. And we already have two sets of china, courtesy of parents/grandparents hand-me-downs. We have no room or desire for any more tschotskies, or commemorative plates.

So, other than making a scrapbook page :agree, do you have any ideas?

china? heck, I would go for chinese food and get a new outfit! lol, and thinking back, that is what we did for 20!
A big congrats to you both!

Love it @AnneofAlamo I was thinking bigger -- trip to China. Looked for a china cup ornament and couldn't find one. Lennox doesn't have anything specific to 20 years.
All I can think of is a quick look through scrapbook of the 20 years.
Unfortunately my husband doesn't believe in celebrating anniversaries so I don't have many suggestions.

i love the idea of chinese food. :) the modern idea for 20 is platinum now sure if that gives you any ideas?

I like the Christmas ornament idea. Also love the Chinese food idea and the trip to China. LOL

I just posted a list for pallavi's 10 yr in January.... hang on...

Here...
A second honeymoon. A vow renewal ceremony. A mini scrapbook/ album of all your favorite photos of the past 10 years (or his favorites)... maybe that's just putting a few of the layouts you've already made into a special book or something. A repeat of your first date, or first anniversary of something.... then/now type thing. A watch, symbolic of all the time in the relationship (maybe personalized with an inscription or something on the back). New wedding rings/set? A wall progression/timeline display in your hallway, documenting the past 10 years.
Maybe plan a special year of things for your whole tenth year... like a small thing each month on the day of your anniversary, culminating with a special 10th yr ornament in December for your tree, if that's what/how you celebrate.
Tickets to something you've never done before, symbolic of your continued passion for new adventures with each other. Maybe a tenth anniversary edition of a favorite movie or book he likes...

I'll think some more...

I think several of these could go for 20 yrs, also? Tailored, though.

Her post is here, in case any other ideas in the thread are good for you :

Hope that's helpful!

Maybe instead of a china ornament, you just get one that was made in china :giggle Yes, I crack myself up!

First off Congratulations on 20 years! We celebrated our 30th this year. Took a trip, even though part of it was to see my daughter and her hubby.

I LOVE the idea of an ornament and then go out for dinner! WE never did anything special for our 20th or 25th usually dinner out.

What about an over night someplace within a close drive?
