Welcome to the Monthly Muse for March 2019!! Week 3 - Random Page Again sorry for my delay! I'll be posting Week 4 shortly after this one goes up today!! For week 3 I want you to grab a book near you and open it up to a random page. On that page I want you to find a sentence that immediately stands out to you. Don't over think it or pre-plan. Just open your book, find a sentence, and be inspired by that line to create your layout! Let us know your book choice and the page number just for fun!! While searching for an inspiration photo for you I stumbled upon the word Bibliomancy which is the act of doing this same thing but with the hope of finding an answer to a question. A neat idea, if a little questionable on the religious front, but in terms of scrapbooking inspiration and art journaling, I think it'll be rather fun! [page coming soon!] Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to March 31st and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). If you have any questions, ask here! Have fun!!!
What a fun challenge. (I hope this is not offensive to those who abstain from drinking wine.) This is a book I'm engrossed in at the moment as I am on a Health Journey. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/03-19-wk3_sentencefromabook.390846/
I have to admit I was a little worried when my eye settled on this sentence; but it was really a lot of fun creating this ATC. Might have to use this technique on other challenges!!
Great Challenge - this is from a book I've read Last Chance to See by Douglas Adams about the disappearing species. This quote is from chapter concerning gorillas and it was so visual so I attempted to recreate that feeling with both elements and photos of foliage.
While catching up on my prayers this morning, I came across this psalm that shouted at me. It was on my phone so no real page number.
Mine is from "A New Pair of Glasses" which I am not even sure is still in print. Page 38 It's a great book, I have had it for almost 40 years.
This was loads of fun, thank you. My desk has a few books on it all the time with my diary, and some paperwork. The one on the top is the The Concise Oxford Dictionary. So I opened it to page 349, and learnt a new word. This one caught my eye: Dorp: a village or small township. I'm quite pleased with where the muse took me, and I have something for my family/hometown record keeping that I would never have imagined creating.
Following Along With Week #2's Challenge...This Next Page I Created For Week #3's Random Page...Is Closely Followed By A Similar Notion...The Color Blue(In This Case)...=Sadness,Confusion...Longing To Understand...I'm Not Sure Why Or How Exactly...But This Challenge Has Inspired These Last 2 Layout's Artistic Creation For Me...In Just The Right...Perfect Place & Time...Thank You! Thanks , this was fun ;book Janet Evanovitch -11 on top - page 109; I put the food away, and wiped down the counter top. I wasn't much of a house keeper, but didn't want to be killed ,and have my mother discover my kitchen was a mess.
