I had my first photography class this week. It was only 2 hours, but I learned how to shoot in manual and meter. I am so excited - I can't wait to go back next week.
Fun! I took a class with Katrina Kennedy online, but got busy with real life and only did the first two lessons. Thankfully I DL'd the .pdfs so I'm hoping to get back to it. I would really love to learn from an actual human... Real life class though. Can't wait to see some of your pictures!!
that is awesome I always wanted to take one of Katrina classes too, but something always comes up. Hopefully soon I will be able too.
i REALLY need to figure out how to shoot manual ... major goal for 2013!! and a live class sounds awesome - i should look into that!
How fun, Rachel! I've been trying to shoot manual since last year, but I still don't feel comfortable with that!
That's awesome! Good for you Rachel You will love it. Dana-It is so much easier to learn from someone if you are a visual learner. I am teaching a group here and they are picking it up so much quicker then I did (I learned on Clickin Moms). I wish we lived closer!
the class at my museum was $140 - for six weeks - 2 hours a week. you also get a museum membership with your class
I took some breakout sessions at clicking moms and they are great especially the post processing ones. The workshops are quite expensive but some breakouts are great and you have access to pdf´s and videos and they are affordable. It's a great community to learn about shooting manual. I didn't wanted to pay to have an access but I won it and after a year I will definitely pay for it. I think they were giving away some coupons on their facebook fan page to have access to all the info during a week.
Thats awesome!! You'll have to share some of your pics sometime! I agree with everyone else... i've been on Clickinmoms for 3 years now... i've learned a ton from them!
