January 21: Song Lyric Challenge (Inspiration Challenge)

This song was sung during a worship service I attended while in Thailand. The lyrics immediately grabbed me and had such a personal meaning to me -

So many times when working in areas of ministry, there are long periods of waiting and doubt begins to creep in. What a wonderful reminder that we serve a forever faithful God!

These lyrics are an almost perfect statement for how I feel about my husband. A love that is greater than ourselves; forever loyal and faithful. A love that is there when the receiver feels undeserving or unable to let it in. An unconditional, understanding, and patient love. It's a beautiful, hauntingly sad love song which seems befitting of two souls who have endured many storms and survived to find each other.

 

I used lyrics from "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. My family loves the Beatles, and I always refer to my kiddos as my sunshine.

I loved this song from the Baby Signing Time videos when Emery was 1, and I always wanted to do something like this for it. Thanks for getting me to do it!

 

I have a corny question! I have this page completed, except I don't have the photos on it, just the places to put them squared out, the images are actually on my icloud account, which I cant access to download from my computer at the moment. If I cant get the images off before the challenges are due can I post it without the images on the page or is that not considered a complete page, since I mean really it isn't complete, I just hate the whole cross over with Mac and WIndows!! It is driving me crazy!!!!

 

This was our honeymoon song - it basically means take me somewhere without telling me, wherever you are thats my destination...wherever your arms are...thats my constant. Sounds waaaaay more beautiful in Hindi - the indian language its written in! lol This song means more now as we have moved 5 cities in our 10 years together! haha its been one hell of a ride so far. we are in between our 5th move which no doubt has been the hardest - thats when these words mean more than ever before!

 

This song describes how I feel about my husband.

 

Mine using the lyrics "Fix you" by Coldplay. This song has helped me so many times and has such meaning to me.

Thanks for letting me borrow your pick-up. It is definitely a high torque, low gear ratio, hauling and towing vehicle. I hope you found the beer and the gas money. My intention was to refill the tank before returning the pick-up but it slipped my mind until I was almost at your house, thus the money.

You are very welcome! Any time, it needs to get out more often! It used to have an even lower gear ratio when I first bought it. It had the "granny" gear, where it just crawled along in first gear. The beer and horses were a great trade. (Reminds me of the Toby Keith song, Whiskey for My Men, Beer for My Horses).

Basically, when we feel the most unlovable, God still loves us! During times of depression, self-doubt, lack of confidence, and questioning...God is there! He breaks through the chains that we draw around ourselves, and pulls us to Him. I have had times in my life of depression and pushing people away. But during those times, God is still right beside me, through it all! Loving me the whole way. Exodus 22:27"...When he cries out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate."

 

Been in a sad mood lately. And I know others have been too. So I picked this line from the REM song.

 

It's one of my favorite songs from my favorite band, seen them many times and always when I hear this song I have to listen to it. " when things get rough, there is always someone and fix it!

 

This is the last song I heard before my grandmother passed away. The journaling says it all.

 

My 2yo is OBSESSED with Frozen right now so singing "Let it Go" is a daily occurrence. She was more than excited to find an Elsa dress in the stash of costumes at the Y last month.
