Finally, I am here with my layout! some of the inspiration I took from the mood board is: 1) the blues and orange 2) the building/double exposure - I went with St Louis Arch 3) the camera made me think more self portrait-esque 4) artsy feel with all the ad inspirations and block letters, I just went with blendy artsy feel 5) I used some geometric flair based off that triangl-y tattoo! And after much mulling over it, here is mine: My inspirations: The flying bird The word "Art" The textures - I used a mosaic tile effect on one copy of the photo. I duplicated the photo and cropped to just the flying bird and positioned it over the mosaic photo and gave it a soft edge. The colors - dark blue, greens, oranges The fonts - DJB Coffee Shoppe Espresso (similar to the Coffee Therapy font) and Courier New (typewriter)
Here is mine. My inspiration came from: 1. The colors 2. The collage of items on the wall in the one photo as well as the collage of the inspiration photos 3. The natural elements in the loft type photos - I brought the natural elements into my layout thru my photos, the brick buildings, the cement building, the wood and steel of the railroad tracks, etc. 4. The flowers - found in my photos as well as the paper and elements I used. 5. The typewriter keys in that one photo - I used a typewriter font

YAY! I finally did it! I just had to look for inspiration in kits I would normally use and not get bogged down in a style that's not me. I was trying to be all graphic and art journally, but this inspiration board actually works well for other styles too. 1. The number journal card was inspired by the number 39 on the wall. 2. The trees were inspired by the triangles in the tatoo. 3. The circle border was inspired by the circle frames on the wall. 4. The wood bg paper was inspired by the wood table the veggies are on. 5. The merry & bright wood chip was inspired by the quote in the circle mask.
