to replicate paper, or do you prefer all digi all the way? I ask because one of my goals is to create a page that someone has to look twice to see if it was paper or not.

Don't get me wrong - I love me some digital art...but when I scrap memories - I seem to always fall to the paper look.

    How bout you?

I like to replicate the paper scrap look although the few challenges I've done for complete digital look were a lot of fun!

Digi, all the way. Though I do have it in the back of my mind to go look at paper techniques if I feel I need it for inspiration. Also, one of the scrapaneers make-and-take activities was something based on a paper technique!

I prefer the paper look, but sometimes I'll stray out of my comfort zone.

I want things to look realistic in the sense of shadows and how things lie on each other in a cluster, etc. but I don't care if, e.g. no one would use a pine cone on a paper LO or whether or not anyone actually blends photos into a paper in a paper LO.

I have a lot of paper tendencies, but I'm pretty sure that's because I started in paper, and did it for a long time! There are some beautiful layouts in the gallery where I've had to look twice because I wasn't sure if it was hybrid or digi! I agree with Lorry, I will put heavier items, and more of them on a digi page then I ever put on paper, and not worry about it.

I'm a digi girl. Sometime I stress over getting all those shadows just right, but one of the beauties of digi is that you can use things in ways you would never be able to in the paper world.

Digi all the way. I never did paper and so none of that appeals to me. Needless to say, I am not a shadow perfectionist or even expert.

Now digitally manipulating any product makes my day, as I'm in love with my computer and usually with my software!

My go-to lately has been going for more of a paper scrapped look, but I love to blend and such as well . . . so I guess I'd say a bit of both? I love being able to pile on heavy embellishments and not worry whether the page will fit in my page protector. :giggle

I'm drawn more to the paper look. I started out with paper layouts and then dabbled in digital. When I was doing that I found my style was pretty much the same as my paper layouts. Now I still do paper, but am doing more digital, and even hybrid for some things.

I've gradually moved away from the paper look over the years. As time goes on, I like a graphic style more and more, though still want to use a little realistic shadowing.

I never really did paper scrapping (maybe a couple of pages then moved right into digital). I try to have realistic shadowing but the end goal is not to make it look like a paper scrapped page but to look like a page that I am happy with (and matches what I see in my head for my final creation).

I paper scrapped for over a decade and still scrap more traditionally than artsy/digi.

Your designs are always so fresh and happy - I love them! I keep thinking I'm going to do some artsy stuff...but I chicken out more than I tough through them.

I can count on one hand the paper layouts that I did that I was actually happy about. I wish I could do it!!!

I have to admit - I gave up and bought shadow actions that I like. I was spending hours on one page trying to personalize the shadow for everything.
