JANUARY 10: Extraction with a Twist (Technique Challenge)

Extractions are not my strong point, but I liked this technique. It helped me feel like it didn't have to be perfect to be good! Thanks!

 

Thanks for the tut and the fun video. Not perfect, in real life Nikko is not so jagged, but it's okay. Here's mine:

 

The sticker that I extracted is the little black mark in the photo. That's how big the sand dunes in Death Valley are!

I did it! I did it! I conquered the Queen of Challenges Challenge in Paintshop! Alas I couldn't figure out how to make it Boho, so I went for the glitz and glam! (there is a shadow on the sticker, and a little shadow on the shadow to lighten it enough to show).

My sticker extractions are top right scarecrow and bottom left corn. Both are from photos of wooden cutouts that my daughter stood behind.

 

The extractions are from a photo I took of some sketches my daughter did this past summer:

 

mine was all messed up so I had to delete the original and upload a new one
