    3. Reading (currently trying Clive Cussler out because a) I LOVE the movie "Sahara," and b) I'm in complete denial that they rebooted the over 20 years worth of Star Wars books that I've been reading since I was 12 into oblivion)

Thanks for all the comments on the blanket guys. It has seriously been so much fun to work on. It starts as a mandala (as in circular) and then goes to square and then I'm at the part that has 8 sides and then will go back to square again. Those images are linked in my post above to a fantastic blog. The writer made the pattern and released a new small section once a once for 18 weeks. I just decided to join in on the fun at about week 16, so I'm way behind everyone.

But anyway, my point is that it is designed for beginners. She has step by step instructions along with excellent photos for every single stitch and step along the way. Each row is different, so it teaches you a few new stitches as you go. It's been so much fun! You should all join in and we could post pictures of our progress! Here's where I was a few nights ago. I'm starting part 6 of 18 tonight! :)
