All of this talk about vacation albums has got me in planning mode for our trips this summer.

We have several trips planned and I think I know what I'm doing for all but one. In the past, I used the 8x11 size Shutterfly book for our trips. This past year I did do a 12x12 pocket scrapped Shutterfly book but that trip was huge (11 days with TONS of photos). I'll probably do that again for our big road trip. But for our long weekend trip, I kind of want to go back to the 8x11 size. Previously, I had just thrown together books using their templates. This time I actually want to scrap my pages. But in the essence of getting things done in a timely manner, I would love some templates to work with. I've seen 8.5x11 templates out there, but I'm not seeing any 8x11.

If anyone knows of any 8x11 templates or has any suggestions for how to convert other sized templates to work in an 8x11 Shutterfly book, I would love to hear about them!

    Thanks!

I scrap 10x8 and I love using 12x12 templates. I just change the canvas size to 10x8, then select everything but the background and resize to 80%. If you're using an 8.5x11 template, you won't have to resize down much if at all after changing the canvas size.

I am like Lorry. I just resize 12x12 to fit on an 8.5x11 canvas. I have found in my searching that 8.5x11 templates are kinda sparce.

Valorie has these. I like working with her 8.5x11 templates.

Thanks ladies! So, when you resize, are you cutting some of the pockets off in order for it to fit or are you resizing the whole thing and leaving "white space" around the original template? Do you have an example in gallery?

Oh wait! I know what you mean now! I was thinking pocket page templates with my original post. But thinking outside of that box leaves me with lots more options!

I'm going to experiment with resizing some of my 12x12 templates in my stash... or I might give these a go since they'll take minimal modifications...

I wasn't thinking pocket page at all, but I have used those LM ones and just sized down a little bit. If you use full 12x12 pocket templates, it's easiest to delete a row (or column, depending on orientation) before sizing down.
