came back with so much interest, but i have complicated it all myself, now major stress.. Just don't have the insight or ability I had 3 yeas ago
Cath, take a deep breath. It is not a competition, but a fun way to spend the otherwise really boring month of January. If you don't finish, you don't finish ,no big deal. ( I take it you are talking about MOC. ) If it is just scrapping in general, did you sign a contract with anybody ? I bet you didn't so no biggie there either if you don't make a page in a week or a month even. The pages you have done are lovely, they are a testament to more than just scrapping, but to your perseverance as well, so look at them and be proud. And Cath, even if you don't want to scrap (or feel you can't) don't leave the forums. It is a friendly place just to "hang out". Big positive vibe being sent your way.
why are you so stressed out yourself? a hobby should never be stressful! you're doing it for you and no one else
its messing with my drive... bought all this new, and yet to figure at what point my drive died 3 yr ago, found some purchases unzipped and others not with same purchase. And in a phase of manic, did apply for a ct with fancy bird, why who knows, when i was with silva romeo, that was alot of stress. The MOC, is some what stress, as i don't have many things yet to make up the requirements. Think i just tired
Cath, I totally understand where you're coming from! You had set yourself to scrap the MOC month, had been looking forward to it. But for several reasons, you can't scrap like you had thought. And... you are disappointed in yourself. And then, you are trying anyways and that makes it worse.... I had the same feeling this month as I was a failure because of not being able to do the MOC more (you'll see, I only have 4 pages!!!). But then, I scrapped some pages in a totally free mode and it TOTALLY liberated me. Nobody told me I NEEDED to do this and I was (and still am) sure, nobody would look with pity to me. Perhaps you should try it yourself: have some M3 products and think of nothing, let your scrapping flow by itself.. And I hope you will see like me it can be so freeing! Don't hang your head down, do what you feel like doing and enjoy every moment what you are doing!
Don't stress...it's all supposed to be fun and something you enjoy. If you don't finish you don't and no-one is going to think any less of you.
Cath, I'm going to echo what everyone else has said, if it's not enjoyable for you right now, you just need to step away from it for a bit. Find out what works for you and your enthusiasm will return in time. My best to you!
Oh Cath, I totally get it just take a step back and jut play if you want to, without any "rules" or go do something else you enjoy... sometimes we get so focused on what we THINK we should be doing and just end up hating anything to do with scrapping I hope it's just a bump in the road and you're feeling better soon
Awww Cath I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so stressed out! But they did give you great advice above. I know you're disappointed but it ain't over yet! Take a day off and don't stress!
Ditto on all the above. This isn't school, there's no report card and no exams. Have fun. Try the 4,7,8 breathing exercise Laura mentioned in the insomnia thread (I've been trying it this week). http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/VDR00112/The-4-7-8-Breath-Benefits-and-Demonstration.html
Cath, sorry you're going through a rough patch - so many words of wisdom in the prior posts ... I'm sending you very positive thoughts!!
i have avoided my corrupted drive 3 year, think dump my a copy of my new stuff off, and come back to that another time.. would help. I was in my hight of glory, prior to adding that to mix
