Oh gosh. We LOVE leftovers at our house. During the school year we pack every day which basically mean a deli sandwich or pb&J. So, my four kiddos will jump at any chance they get to have a hot meal - including leftovers. They love spaghetti, chinese, pizza (of course), enchiladas, stir-fry, leftover burgers or hotdogs from the grill -- but chicken divan is the one everyone fights over bc there usually isn't too much left and the early bird gets the worm :) Sometimes I'll find my teens eating the leftovers they really want for breakfast to beat out the younger ones. LOL

DH takes leftovers for lunch - if he doesn't, he buys lunch - so to stay on budget I make sure there are leftovers if he works the next day ;0

I used to hate leftovers. But this summer has been so nuts and many nights I barely get home with the kids before supper needs to be on the table, and leftovers have become my bff.

I love to make a roast or chicken in the crockpot and repurpose it. Tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, lots of options.

Leftovers are fine around here, provided we eat them the next day...they usually get used for lunch. If they hang around much longer, then they turn into science experiments and we have to dump them. Leftover pizza, pancakes, and Chinese food generally are the ones that are the most popular with my troops.

This is me! I don't love leftovers, but I like having them so that I can plan on them at least one additional night. I will normally plan a leftover night after having cooked a couple of nights in a row so that they can choose what leftover they want, unless we have a ton left, then that is the meal plan, no complaining! :)

The only store-bought food I keep for leftovers are pizza & deep fried stuffs. The rest are a no-no. That includes the french fries. Cos the artificial thingy they put into them are enuf to clog my arteries. So, no thank you.

For home-cook dishes, my rubbish-eater mum will mix all into a "new" fried rice dish. Sometimes the taste turns out ok. O'wise, me & my son will pour at least 1/4 of the tomato sauce/chilli sauce/mayonnaise over it. :giggle Or we'll eat only 1/4 of our usual portion. Then gorge ourselves silly for supper. :dizzy

I love cooking stew with all the ingredients thrown in. Now that is one dish I die-die have to keep it as "leftover". Cos overnight stew is the bestest kept overnight. So a stew can be my dinner for 3 days. *slurp slurp*

Veges are a my no-no for leftover. I love my veges freshly cooked, thank you.

If leftovers don't get eaten within a few days, I throw them out. Things like bbq meat, chicken enchiladas, pulled pork, etc...the boys usually have it all gone within 24 hours. I think they raid the fridge after I go to bed!
