I am listening to the strange weather all over the United States and just wowed? and not in a good way! I am complaining...it is nasty and yucky and we are on spring break!! booooooooo hiss lego morning, and now onto computer games, gonna brave the nastiness in a bit to raid the library and dollar tree! bhaha how are ya'll handling the weirdness in April?
It was high 70's here yesterday and by tonight it is going to be down into the 30's with freeze/snow possible. We're also on tornado watch all day. The crazy change in temperature and barometric pressure always give me a headache too. Fun, fun.
It's actually very Spring like here in East TN. Supposed to be about 81 today. No complaints. Sorry Anne.
It's actually been pretty nice around here, except today we woke up to a dusting of SNOW and crazy wind. But, we always get snow it April so it's not that much of a surprise... but still unwelcome. It does always seem like we get the crappiest weather during spring break!
I seem to recall someone pointing out her gorgeous weather when it was -18C here last week... Just sayin'. But in all honesty, I hope the weather gets better for you. We still have snow but it's slowly melting. Hoping the weather warms up soon.
It's been beautiful here this week, we've been outside sucking it up because it's supposed to rain and be gross the rest of the week.
We just had a huge thunderstorm, with lightning and scaaaary thunder very close by! Totally weird for April..
Well, being married to a scientist, just saying whether you believe in global warming or not, buck up, we are all going to have NOT the general warming or nicer weather, but what is now known as "weather weirdness" as in things like unheard for the region droughts or tornadoes where they have been previously unknown... And though I am proud of the Americans that I have finally seen recycling bins in America (you are still decades behind the rest of the world, US!) we all have to try and turn back the tide before it's too late, and America and China are still the biggest threats... and every little helps... So do your bit, live greener, decrease your carbon footprint, recycle, walk... Re weather weirdness in the Alps, My kiddo's birthday is end of March, and she usually has a celebration outside with a picnic and tee-shirts, this year it was a snowball fight with the family in 70 cm of snow, and -16C (the coldest day we experienced this winter, and the 8 previous winters we have lived in the area)
I'm with P. We had the same crazy thundersnow last night, tons of ice/rain yesterday, snow last night. We were without power for 3 hours yesterday but we are the lucky ones - people in nearby Sioux Falls are still without power and a lot of them won't have it until tomorrow. Kids are on their second day off this week and their school year just got extended a few days. Next week we'll be back up to 50, I hope. My cousin lives on the other side of our state (in the Black Hills - Mount Rushmore to those of you that know what that is) and they got 18+ inches of snow yesterday. This happened a few years ago, too here - we were in Vegas this same week for a wedding and my mom had the kids - they had a pretty big blizzard while we were gone.
Spring was a long time coming here in Northern VA. It finally showed up on Sunday, then summer hit on Monday. It hit 90 degrees today . I was really looking forward to some nice, cooler spring weather to get some work done in the yard. I am so not a hot-weather girl.
Finally leaving Summer behind here in Oz ... slowly heading into the cooler Autumn weather ... Mother Nature is taking her time this year for sure!
It is suppose to SNOW this weekend....we are going to be freezing our butts off at the soccer games on Saturday and practice on Friday. Just last weekend we were outside with short sleeves on and no coats.....I even got some sun and my freckles are coming out.....sigh
being an adopted Brit and having dealt with weird weather all my English life, & now dealimg with even more weirdness...well, ,lets say it's annoying to put it mildly!!!!
We are mid autumn here and still in tshirts and shorts - long summer (although I am not complaining) it's been a weird few years - seem to be breaking weather records all over the place...
Ugh. Soccer tonight and it's only 40 degrees. I'm hoping it warms up a little. And, more snow/rain tomorrow. Blast!
