last chance to back out and run away deep breathes. i went to home depot while we were on our little mini get away this week (yes. yes we are that lame. we left the hotel to go to home depot............ -.- ) and i grabbed 9000 paint sample cards. oye. Jacob was all.. rahrahra.. don't you pick colours for a living??????? why can't you pick paint. darling. you don't realize how not easy this is. hmpfh. connor wants a green room.. which is surprisingly harder than i imagined.. jacob wants some sort of blue hue for our room. I don't want pukey baby colours in either one. I have one green that almost seems reasonable for connor but i'm no where near picking a colour for us. I like teal/aqua colours.. he likes...... little boy blue. bleh. at least i get to be in charge of colour i guess.. and wont get stuck with something i hate.
LOL @ pukey colors. I always had a hard time picking blue. You want JUST the exact blue or it looks pastely and can't have that. I am so excited for you. I want to see pictures LOL
Congrats! That is soooo exciting! Good luck with the paint. Definitely get samples to put on the wall. So excited for you.
How exciting!! I don't like baby blue either, but with grey I think it looks good! Like something like this, but you'd have to throw a bit more blue in there for him probably. http://pinterest.com/pin/24980972904776619/ http://pinterest.com/pin/548665167073035618/ http://pinterest.com/pin/33706697182839203/
Google the colors you're considering - it helps to see pictures of them in an actual room vs. just on that paint strip. I'd also like to tell you to use Sherwin Williams paint instead of Home Depot, but you're the one doing the painting.
Further, my bedroom is a light blue that has a grey undertone and I love it. It's Benjamin Moore Wedgewood Grey, but they have another one that is even one step greyer than that. I HATE light blue but for some reason I love my room. It's so relaxing in there. This isn't my bedroom, obviously, but this is about how it looks.
we've got the gift card to home depot.. lol.. that's the only reason. lease is signed. it's official.. i was busy measuring but jacob supposedly took some pictures.. i'll try to get them from him later
I can't wait to see pictures! Let go of perfect and just be happy if you find something you both like. Have fun with this!
Picking paint colors is fun (but not the painting part). Blues and greens can be so hard, though. I can't wait to see what you choose.
we change our minds so often about color... that these days i've just opted for a nice neutral tone on the walls and punch up all the color i need in the drapes/cusions/art & accessories. it makes less of an impact... but is so much easier for me, than painting every 4-6 months. cannot wait to see photos of the new digs, La. am sooo supah excited for you!
