Lynnette, your baby's face in that photo is priceless! Love that card! I did not do a Christmas card shoot this year. I think I am going to use Liz's Christmas card and do the mosaic of small photos from the year.
Like Soraya, we usually send out holiday cards with our dogs (I'm Jewish, husband is non-practicing Catholic). This year, my husband wanted us in the photo. So, instead of trying to get my grumpity grump teenage stepson to pose for a family photo, I just decided to do something fun - and I scrapped my card for the one word challenge - Good luck with your card! Here's a pinterest board with a lot of ideas.
Oh my goodness, the creativity here is astounding!!! Well done, everyone. Here's ours this year... with a bit of a surprise! (I personally love how my husband and I are pointing to the belly but Morgan is pointing to the boobies.)
I scheduled a mini session with a local photog for our cards. 30 minutes, that's all I wanted from my kids. They did not want to cooperate in the least. There were very few photos of them together that were card-worthy. And then when I was trying to design it the color of the bench (it was this weird purpley maroon) was throwing me off mixed with the red. So I spent forever recoloring it. And this is the end result, which I am happy with. They go out today!
Everyone's cards look great! I think we all put way too much pressure on ourselves. Or maybe that's just me. So I ended up using a free template and did not design my own card (or take our own pictures) - something that hasn't happened in the 6 years I've been scrapping. And you know what? No one who receives this card will know or care that I didn't do it myself! 2012 christmas card by 4lewisfamily, on Flickr
Great cards everyone! This is what I came up with, using papers from Micheline Martin's Call Me Baby. I took these photos yesterday, I didn't attempt any of them together because it usually ends in disaster, lol. And to get the whole family together is just way too hard.
Love everyone's cards. I am just thankful to even have ours ordered. We have been sick since Thanksgiving here with at least one person throwing up each week and yesterday was the first day that everyone was well so we did a quick picture take after church. Not really how I was hoping for it to turn out but I'm just glad we got it done. I don't usually send cards out but wanted to this year since a lot of our friends back home have not seen our new addition. Since I was so late in getting them done I had to pay way to much to have them done and shipped overnight and I definitely would have just skipped it but like I said before I wanted to show off the new little one soooo...... our order from Tinyprints should be here tomorrow. I hope they turn out ok. I have never used this company before so we'll see. Here is the finished version of it. I got the idea from one I saw on Pinterest (gotta love pinterest). front: back:
Thank you!! I LOVE yours too!! Can you believe how she has grown? It's going by way to fast. She is crawling everywhere now. She learned that trick right in the middle of all the sickness and it has been so hard keeping up with her and everything else going on. I am kinda ready to see December go LOL!!
