Nope, I'm equally obnoxious both places.

 

Hmm...good question. I think I'm much more outgoing online, IRL I'm kind of shy. I think there is more freedom with an online community. Also, you get plenty of time to come up with that witty comeback!

 

I am just the opposite.....I can be really a loud, obnoxious and highly sarcastic person! But I tend to be shy online. Once I feel really comfortable around a group of people though it's look out! My hubby still hates when my family gets together.

But....I am a drama-free person both online and IRL!!!

 

Online- I am pretty quiet & takes me time to warm to just talk (or type..lol). IRL - It still takes me time to warm up to a person, but I will talk a bit more ...depending on who I am around. I do notice that when I post or type out my thought, I tend to re-think what I am about to say before I send the response, whereas IRL I just say what I am thinking (sometimes it comes out the wrong way).

 

I'm shy and quiet for both. Although I can be kind of wild when I'm around people I'm really close to.

 

I wouldnt say I was really shy, but Im not really talkative like my other siblings. They can talk and talk and talk. But I laugh louder than all of them. They say I laugh alot Im guess im in the middle somewhere.

IRL I'm much more comfortable around small groups of people than large ones...I can talk your ear off...but if there are too many people I tend to be very reserved and not talk too much, unless I know everyone really well, such as when I'm with my family. I also avoid drama...I have no use for it and it stresses me out. Actually these probably describes me online too...I was really quiet when I first started coming to TLP, but as I got on some CTs here, and got more comfortable with all the people in the forums, I find I talk a lot more.

 

I'm more reserved online then in real life. Most of what I say is very sarcastic and second guess my responses online all the time. It's hard to get the right "tone" across here.

I'm pretty outgoing and talkative both online and IRL. I might be slightly less sarcastic online because sometimes it comes across the wrong way.

 

I'm pretty much the same online as in real life I think. Just, IRL I'd never talk to this many people in one day ever just because I work all day and don't talk to too many people at work and then I'm at home with my kids most of the time. We get together with friends on the weekends too, but not this many! LOL!

I love that we can check in with what's going on in life without the phone calls. I know more about my online friends than some of my real life friends... isn't that sad?

 

I think I'm a little more outgoing online, but only because I get a little more time to think and I don't feel like I have to come up with a response when I don't have one. I think it also helps that I get to talk about what excites me online, whereas I may only occasionally get to do so in real life.

I am however, making a point to strive to be as authentic online as I can. It would so easy to be my best self only, but I don't want the Internet to be a place where I go play imaginary perfect life, I just want it to be another creative and social outlet.
