Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality home printer? Looking to spend less than $300-$400. I would like to print layouts (12x12) and possibly photos. Just something that has great color and resolution. Mine is a complete piece of crap (its a 4in1 Canon that I bought used from a guy at work for $20 so I can't complain really).

They only have a few selections here at the stores on Guam, so unfortunately I can't go in a Best Buy or something and ask one of the salesmen. More than likely I'm gonna have to order it and have it shipped.

    Thanks in advance!!

I have an Epson R1900 that prints 12x12 and I really like it. I don't know if they have a newer model than that out by now. I use the Epson Premium Presentation matte paper and like it for layouts (it's more paper than a glossy photo) and also use photo paper too. I would recommend stocking up on Epson ink when they have sales. They generally have a several a year, one around Christmas when I stock up on anything that is running low.

My hubby got me an HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format a year or so ago. The print quality is top notch. And I use the HP Everyday-Glossy photo paper, which I usually pick up at Wal-Mart.
