I know I can count on the creativity of my friends here... I would love to pick your brain :helpy

We're having some friends and family come to town in a few months and I'm wanting to make some welcoming bags for the hotel rooms as welcome gifts to make their stay more comfortable. You know, like with water bottles etc.

I need ideas for both couples and families (one with 7-11 year old kids, another with 14-16 year old kids, and another with 1-3 yr old kids).

Hit me with some things that would make you happy as a hotel guest.

I would love snacks! Maybe some pieces of fruit, crackers, fruit snacks, etc. Adjust it for the ages of the kids. I think everyone would love some snacks! Even throw in a few new toothbrushes (someone always forgets theirs in our family, and we're always running to the store to get a new one, lol). I've had a munchie basket for me at a hotel for a work thing before and they also included gormet hot cocoa and cute mugs with a really cute hand made card in it as well, I loved it!

I think that is super nice of you to do! They will love it!

Wow Krista, it is so nice of you to think about that! I agree that water and snacks would be great. I would also include something for the kids, but I'm not sure what they're into at that age.

Sunscreen, lots of people forget that with a hotel pool. If they'll be spending a little time in said pool, a pool toy/game might be fun for the middle age group of kids.

I would think a game would be nice (could be a card game appropriate for the ages of the kids). I always find myself with downtime in a hotel not knowing what to do. Or a journal and a pen...I've found myself writing more in hotels than anywhere else (mostly because more is usually going on when I'm staying in a hotel and again that downtime stuff).
