I am SUCH an idiot. It's been my daughter's 5th birthday weekend and her party was yesterday. In all the fuss about making sure that we had all the party food, party bags and spare clothing just-in-case (the party was outdoors at a nature reserve!) I managed to leave my bag in the hall by the door... It wasn't until we arrived (with no time to send dh back for it) that I realised and of course it had my dslr in at ... and my smart phone so I didn't even have that! I borrowed a (pretty basic) camera from the people at the nature reserve thankfully but only took a few as the battery was low and I didn't want to run out of power before the exciting bits. Still waiting for them to email me the pictures, and I really want to ring them up and demand they do it RIGHT NOW in case someone else deletes the pictures on the camera. But I guess that would be a little rude, huh? :
Oh no. That is a total bummer. It is so hard to be the one juggling everything. I'm with you though. I'd be impatient too. A few times, I've forgotten to take pics because I'm trying to get things done or make sure everyone is having fun or whatever. It is almost like you need to designate a backup photographer. But then I guess that doesn't really work that well either because you know best which pics you want. It is just hard. Hugs to you! Can't wait to see what you get.
Oh no!!! I would be so sad too, but...Cristina is right...bad pictures are better than no pictures. Here is hoping they get to you soon!!
Oh no! I did that when my friend and I took the girls to the Riverwalk and Museum here. I brought the camera but left the battery on the charger. We had her camera with a partial battery and my cell til it died. But it makes you so mad!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Haven't heard but I know they're busy with Easter events. Going to ring on Tuesday to 'check that they sent it to the right address',
Oh no, Jude! That TOTALLY sounds like something I'd do. I hope they get to you soon, so you don't have to wait on pins and needles anymore.
Ugh... that's such an awful feeling! Hopefully you'll get at least a few pictures, but if not... you can still do a photoless page with the memories of the day. Just call it a page about enjoying the day so much you didn't have time for photos!
I've got a few iphone pics a friend took - so at least their won't be a glaring hole in my project life. Still waiting - it's typical really, I'm actually known as 'the mum with the camera' at everybody else's party when even their own mum doesn't bother! Got some good stories to tell about the day anyway - tales of six very headstrong little girls and a treasure chest that was only a few cm deep ... at least it was until all the kids got into the sand (Backstory : we had a pirate party and the nature reserve used to be a sand and gravel quarry a few decades ago. Means they've got the mother of all sand-pits! The leader was actually quite concerned that someone had taken the treasure away for a while and the kids were absolutely convinced that we hadn't followed the trail quick enough and some bad pirates had got to the treasure first!)
oh no!! that's awful!! thankfully your friend had a few pics on her phone and you at least got something. and hopefully the hall will email you with the other photos soon!!
Oh, no! That totally sounds like something I would do. I hope you get some of the pictures you took soon. I would be anxious for them as well!
Eeeeks! I so hate it when I forget my camera... I know all to well how you feel! I so hope the pics you get turn out bright and perfect! (*Hugs*)
That could happen to any of us! Parties are so stressful, especially if you were packing what feels like your whole house to go, I'm so sorry that happened! I hope they email you the pics fast! I'd give them until the afternoon, then maybe do a little curtesy call and say you wanted to make sure they remembered since it's a Monday and everyone gets busy on a Monday... you'd just be sweetly reminding them of their obligation, right? (for sure call!)
Oh no - so sorry about forgetting the camera. I hope they send you the photos soon. Sounds like it was a fun party!
The plot thickens ... Bizarrely, there was no memory card in the camera. It did still take the pictures though, stored on internal memory. Unfortunately, no one has any idea what has happened to the cable to connect it to the computer .... I've also got the horrible feeling that the pictures are going to be miniscule, there can't be much space in there.
