I'm getting ready to paint my boys room (again). They're going from beige and red to steel blue/grey. I can't wait.

What colors do you have in your house?

My living room is eggplant and I LOVE it. I have a bathroom in 2 shades of grey (also love). My bedroom is a lighter blue/grey that is just so soothing, and I hate light blue, so it's weird that I would like it, but I adore it.

My daughter's room is turquoise and lime green. It's pretty loud, but it looks cool and she's happy.

My kitchen is red, and I loved it at first, but it's next on the chopping block.

Most of the rest of my house is a beige from Sherwin Williams called "practical beige". It's a little darker than what you'd think of for a default color. I never get sick of it, oddly enough.

The main living areas in my house are SW Baguette and SW Cardboard (horrible name, but I love the color). I used lots of color in my previous house, but in my new house, the floorplan is very open, so I decided to keep it warm neutrals on the first floor. My studio and the finished areas of the basement are SW Latte. DD1's room is Amelia Blue, which is a gorgeous sea glass blue color from a local Artisan paint company. DD2's room is Blushing Pink.

    I have builder white. everywhere.
we've been waiting for our 1-year inspection before we repaint. our 1-year just passed (hooray for being in the same house for a full year!!!), so we should be getting our inspection soon and then we can PAINT!! woot!!

unfortunately, because of the ever-looming threat of relocation, we have to keep it neutral. Non-neutral houses don't show well. So we'll be going with some gray/brown/beige/something or other pallet I'm sure. at this point though, anything is better than builder white.

Angie, I think your steel blue/gray will be way cute! :)

I'm an accent wall chick in a big way! We have red accent walls at the end of our hallway.

Our master bedroom is a medium brownish taupe with seafoam blue (feels like an ocean).

One son's room is white bead board with light blue (on two walls) and chocolate brown (on two walls).

Our other boys room (2 that share) is the tan, red and navy, it's tan with a big navy stripe & a red stripe that goes all the way around the room with a white board that goes all the way around, as well (for dimension). We have loved this, but, we've had it for 7 years and I'm getting a bug to switch it out. Just saving up to fund it. ;)

Our family room has one asparagus wall, with the other walls being tan except for one tiny wall that's also asparagus to tie it all in.

My kitchen has slate blue accent walls and tan - it ties in with the Mediterranean colored slate floor we have.

Yeah, I like color way too much, lol! Plus, I'm way picky about my colors, it's a little over the top, lol!

    Living room: Limey/Appley Green
bathroom and dining room: Buttery Yellow
kitchen - crappy wallpaper that I have yet to remove
kids playroom - still decorated as Ava's nursery - light sage green grass mural 1/2 up the wall, and a creamy tone the rest of it
kids bedroom - light lime green
my bedroom - yet to be painted, but I am going to do it in a nice light teal/turquoise color once I get my duvet that I custom ordered (teal/turquoise waterfall ruffles going from light teal to dark teal)

My landlord (mom) has picked all the colors in the house so I don't particularly like any any of them. The living room is yellow - my favorite color - but the shade is kind of wussy. Dining room is a soft almost not even blue. Kitchen is a hideous sponge painted brownish-orange. My room is white, but I hate some bright red and orange in there to liven things up!

Mainly Queen Anne's Lace (cream colored) in the main living areas. We're pretty boring except for the bedrooms.

    Our bedroom - red
    L.J.'s bedroom - pale blue

I'm looking for a nice gold color for my kitchen, but I'm afraid I'm going to pick something too yellow or too mustardy.

We have Benjamin Moore's Putnam Ivory in a lot of our main areas and it is a nice warm neutral that has a lot of gold undertones.

Let's see... Family room is dark chocolate brown which I love (thankfully we have a wall of sliding glass doors/windows), My bedroom is light blue and the bathroom is half sky blue, half seafoam green. Looks just like the ocean in there! :) The kitchen, living room and one other bedroom are creamy white. I just re-did my youngest son's room and LOVE how it turned out. It's olive green on two facing walls and dark Sky blue on the other two walls and then I accents in a royal blue to match the bunk beds I painted. Love it! :)

You can see the work in progress here:

right now it's still the colors from the old home owner since we've been spending our time and energy on other fixer upper stuff... but we have the supplies we just haven't painted yet... but the whole house will be beige... I'm tired of the burnt orange, harvest gold and hunter green super dark and bold colors in this house and want to go plain and boring for awhile... however, I do think I'll be doing teal or aqua in our bedroom :)

Wow, people after my own heart! I love colors in my house!

My entry way wall is the darkest eggplant purple imaginable. Office and living room a nice pale yellow. Kitchen is a dark terra cotta orange that I love. Family room is a medium green. My room is a darker yellow. My daughter's room is BRIGHT TURQUOISE (and I mean BRIGHT). My son's room is New England Patriots Blue with a light gray on two walls. Guest bath is medium green.

I'd love to change it up but I don't really want to stay in this house much longer. Not a good time to sell in my market but both kids will be in college later this year and I don't want the pool maintenance for long term.

The one wall I wouldn't change is the dark purple which I love!

All builder beige. It's a nice light-but-warm shade. But actually we have tons of really huge windows, and lots of bookcases and such on the walls that don't have windows, and the main part of our house is pretty open, so there's not a whole lot of "wall" left. :giggle

We do have a large castle mural in DS's room, and DD has a stenciled flower border at about "chair rail" height in her room. I had planned at one point to do an accent wall in the family room to help the fireplace stand out more, but I never could settle on a color I thought I would like, so I pretty much abandoned the idea. :p

We moved in to our house in November and I need to paint...

Our bedroom was a dark lilac that we changed to a nice beige with brown and orange accents.
Currently Caleb's room is ALL burgundy which we are changing to blue and orange.
Mathieu's bedroom is Lime and Burgundy which we'll be changing the burgundy to blue.
My kitchen is a bluish aqua... and my living room is blue. Also all being changed...
My bathroom is a nice light brown color..

Except for the bathrooms and our bedroom, our house is completely warm neutral beige--I can't remember the exact color. The bathrooms and bedroom are a soft warm green. We have been here almost five years and now I am kind of "eh?" about the wall colors.

My biggest issue is that all of the nice warm colors create huge white balance issues with photography! :) (nice how it all comes back to that, huh?) I took a photography class last year and the teacher takes beautiful photos indoors even, but one of her things is that she paints everything white, because that creates a natural reflector of light for photos. I don't know that I want to go completely white walls, etc, but I would love to eventually have a house with 'happier' colors, if that makes sense--even if it is just white walls with happy colors on frames and paintings, etc.

Our boys' room is done in Dutch Boy graycious gray - which is a really dark gray color with a hint of blue. LOVE it. We did crystal white trim and it really pops. The girls room is 2 tones of beige that I sponged because we needed neutral as they wanted a purple room, so all the decor is purple. Our bathroom is white on white - love it to bits. Our living/dining rooms are milk chocolate - so pretty! And our kitchen is going to be black and white, but we don't have that done yet. Our bedroom is going to be red and black - I know, bold, but we have this beautiful tufted comforter in a red, and I just think it will look awesome with black. :)

We bought our first house two years ago and I kind of went nuts. Main living room = bright happy yellow. More formal living room = apple green. My office & bedroom = light beachy blue. The kitchen and my kids room is a light gray. While I love the bold colors, the more I live here the more I just wish it were all white. I used to hate white, but I'm really digging it more and more, especially because it would be better for photos. Lots of times I get a funny tint in the green and yellow rooms, but the light is gorgeous in the blue and gray rooms.

Thinking probably this color for the boys. They have a white chair rail and it's a huge room, so I think this will look nice. It's SW Refuge.
