Do you like to talk on the phone? How much time do you spend on it? Is it the same people or a variety?
Used to love talking on the phone but since I feel like I'm on it all day, well....not so much any more. I kinda like texting but if its a sensitive issue, then its time to talk.
Im not really much on the phone at all. Maybe its because I dont answer it..heheh. ( I get voice mail from my family....saying "woman answer your freaking phone, why do you have a phone if you dont answer it"....heheh) But I do keep the phone by me in the evenings (sunday or Wed) cause that is when my daughter calls me. Anwhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.
NO! I'm totally anti-phone. There are only 2 people in the world I will even answer it for. And MAKING phone calls is totally out of the question. Even the 2 aforementioned people are shocked if I call them, and worried I have some big emergency. I'll text ya, though.
Please don't call me. Or ask me to call you. I HATE talking on the phone. I'll text ya all day and night, though!
I HATE talking on the phone. If I know that I need to call someone, I'll procrastinate until the very last minute. I much prefer someone to text me!!
I hate it too! Well, I hate it with strangers. When my mom and I lived in the same country, I'd spend hours on the phone with her.
I screen all calls, and I hate to call people (would much rather text)...but, I talk to my mom and brother on the phone all the time. We are always checking in with each other, and it never fails...if I'm on the phone to one of them, the other beeps in on the other line. It's terrible. My daughter told me a couple years ago. "you know mom, when I'm an adult I won't be talking to you all the time like you talk to grandma". We'll see about that after she moves out! LOL!
It's much easier to get a college kid to text you, so I appreciate the contact. But if it's a "conversation" I want, I'd rather call. I answer the phone all day at work, just as soon NOT at home!
I hate to use the phone! best thing ever invented was the caller ID, so I know who is calling before picking the phone...or not! lol! the only exception are my friends...sister....I love talking with them!
I hate calling strangers/making appts/ordering food on the phone. Hate, hate, hate and will avoid at all costs. I prefer to talk via IM, email, or text for everyday stuff, but when I need an actual conversation and face-to-face is not possible b/c of long distance, I will resort to the phone.
I have about two friends who I like talking to on the phone, because we like to gossip! But otherwise, I'm a texter. I do like when my nieces call. They are so cute and always have something silly to tell me.
I really do not like it. I end up talking to one friend several times a day because we do quick conversations. But my friends that end up being long conversations, I end up not calling and end up talking to them when they call me.
I can't stand the phone. I think it stems from all the annoying phone calls I get from telemarketers and surveys. I have a cell which I only give the number to certain people, and I will answer for them, but I'm not usually happy about it. I'd much rather see them in person, email, FB message, or text. I just don't like the phone. THe only reason I have a home phone is because I work at home and am required to have a land line.
im with the rest of you i hate the phone too,ill phone my husband and can talk all day to him but thats it,id rather text and caller display is my friend to if i dont know the number i do not pick up
I hate talking on the phone. I have a real phone phobia for some reason! LOL! I talk to my mom and sister once a day or once every other day. Other than that I am not on it hardly ever.
So funny! Who knew so many of us hate the phone? Maybe that's why we're all on here LOL I hate it when it comes to strangers or business type stuff, but if it's someone I know personally I don't mind chatting. I actually prefer it to texting sometimes... I hate when someone tries to carry on a long conversation with me through texting. Just call me!
I'm not sure when it changed, but I really don't like to talk on the phone either. I used to talk on the phone all the time, but now I'm just busy and there's always something I'd rather be doing. Thank God for cell phones that you can take with you around the house and get something done while you do have to talk on the phone.
