I know for many of you you will have been celebrating July 4th.

    What's everyone doing this weekend?

Recovering from being sick....last weekend I became sick with what I thought was just a niggly cough & that I'd picked it up from my mum who was also sick, it ended up flaring up my asthma and I'm only just starting to come through the otherside and feel slightly human. I also had a 48ish hour stomach bug early this week too. In terms of weekend plans.....well I didn't really have any but what ever plans I did have didn't involve missing all day Saturday! All of the coughing I'd been doing this week finally caught up with me & I didn't wake up til 6pm Saturday after an 18 or so hour sleep.

I've worked so much this week! I know, I'm spoiled, but for me 4 work days are LOTS. I worked 2 days in May, and before that I hadn't worked for 2 years. 4 full days in a row - that's a lot. Also, our library have stairs (reception, non-fiction + children's books are on ground level, fiction + our staff area is upstairs, and in the basement we have the storage for "older" books, that people have to request), and I've been running up and down stairs so much - my legs are DEAD today. Hence: my plans for this weekend is to do nada, nothing! I have a book I want to finish, and I have been catching up on the summer camp. Other than that - my only plan is to make a simple pasta dinner for tonight.

I hope you feel all the way human soon, @littlekiwi

My weekend is going to be spent scrapping, editing photos, and definitely not sleeping. Kiddo was up most of the night Thursday, was hyped up all of last night, and the neighbors were setting off fireworks until long after midnight. I woke up with leg pain from him kicking me in his sleep and it's not even 8 am so I'm just chugging coffee and trying to survive.

Maybe tomorrow I'll take my mom to buy her new laptop. I'm sure we'll play a few rounds of Mario Party today and tomorrow as well.

I am catching up on laundry. Have to do all the stuff from vacation. With spending a lot of time walking on vacation, I have just been resting and icing my foot most of this week (I iced when I could on the bus during the trip). I haven't even unpacked everything yet... mainly the clothes that I bought on vacation. Got a few new t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, a couple sweatshirts and 2 zipper hoodies. Since my washer/dryer is in the basement, I'm only doing 1 load a day since steps are still hard for me. The one load is 3 trips down the steps and 3 trips up the steps and there are 13 steps. The last one up is the really hard one with carrying the laundry. I have a laundry chute so getting the clothes down is no problem at all!

I watched the local fireworks from my driveway last night. Need to look at the photos today. I should scrap since I haven't scrapped since January. I still need to do last October's vacation and my December daily before I can start this last vacation.

As for my foot, the swelling is almost all gone. The bruising is gone. I broke the ankle on June 6th and the type of fracture I have is treated just like a sprained ankle. It does take about 8 weeks to completely heal so I'm still wearing an ankle brace. I have tennis shoes on to go up and down the steps for support. I have been spending a lot of time on the couch this week so hopefully it will be completely healed before the next bus trip the end of August.

Everyone but me is working this weekend so I'm just piddling around the house and taking care of some chores. I have to pick up groceries later and will probably hit the gym and visit my mom tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll also get some scrapping in later today :)

Trying to finish remodeling my daughter’s room today: baseboards and doors and paint. If that gets done the lawn also needs to be mowed. Tomorrow: lots of church meetings.

We had such a busy weekend! I took Wednesday off work and then we got Thursday and Friday off work so we had a lovely long weekend. Wednesday I spent the day playing with my art projects. Thursday I went out on the big lake perch fishing with my husband. Friday we drove a couple hours to Northern Michigan and had a family day with my husband's side of the family and had BBQ, and watched the kids do some fishing on their little lake. Yesterday we took the train into Chicago for the day and went to the art museum and watched a baseball game. Today I'm exhausted from the extra fun we've jammed in, so after church and grocery shopping, I'm staying home! Lol!

I just piddled around the house ... laundry, dishes, vacuuming, watered the new grass seed where the my neighbor's tree service tore up my lawn, did some walking.
