Please read the below guidelines carefully - these rules are meant to make the tallying of the event go as smoothly and as quickly as possible! Those who are wanting to be considered for Guest Community Polly start with step #1, everyone else, start with step #2. If you are wanting to be considered for a Guest Community Polly position, please create a new thread in the Summer Camp Layouts forum and your very first post should be "opting-in for guest community polly spot". After you complete your first layout/game, please create a new thread in the Summer Camp Layouts & Game Links forum and post your first layout or game link. The title of your thread should be “your username’s layouts and game links” (for example – mywisecraft's layouts and game links). Please use your username and not your given name (this helps with matching up the finishers at the end of the event). The first post in your thread should be your first layout - (unless you are opting in for Guest Community Polly Position) it should not be a "here's my thread" post. Each additional layout or game link post should be a new post in your thread - do not edit your first post and add additional layouts to it (if we see this happening, we will contact you and ask you to correct this). If you complete all 18 challenges and all 18 games, you should have 36 posts in your thread (if you are opting in for guest polly, you should have 37 posts). PLEASE DO NOT create 36 posts ahead of time and edit them as you add the layouts (if we see this happening, we will delete your extra posts that do not have completed pages in them). Post as you finish each new challenge layout/game. You do not have to post your layouts or game links in Summer Camp order; if you do not complete each page on it's day, you can post your layouts/game links in whatever order you complete them. If you want to have your layouts/game links in order, you can hold onto your layouts/game links until you're able to post them in order. But PLEASE do not create "placeholder" posts in your thread to fill later. Please label your page posts with the Camp Week and name of the challenge/game (Week 1: Ready, Set, Go or Week 1: Siggie Refresh). This will make the tallies at the end of the Summer Camp go much smoother and faster! Yes, game link posts must be included in this thread and be its own post entry. Ex: Week 1: Siggie Refresh — include the direct link to your completed game post in the Siggie Refresh thread. (see first post below on how to copy your game posts to your layout/game links thread)
How to Link Your Game Post from Another Thread Example: You just posted your new siggie in the “Game: Siggie Refresh” thread and now need to link it in your Summer Camp Layouts & Links thread. Here’s how: Go to your post in the game thread. Find the post number (usually in the top-right corner of your post). Right-click on the post number and select “Copy Link.” Now head back to your Layouts & Links thread. In your post entry for that game, paste the link like this: Game – Siggie Refresh: [paste your link here] It might appear as a full clickable link or just the post number — either way is fine! As long as we can click it and verify your entry, you’re good to go.
