*The title of this layout was inspired by a certain song I was listening to over the last many days...Music has always been an integral part of my layout creation process and I lost that after Ray passed...I now understand why that was & alas why I am once again more inspired to create...as I am finding my "musical groove" to help me create once again...It's like meeting up with an old friend who has always been there...eventhough you may not have realized...The song in question...is called "Come Undone" By Duran Duran...A very prominent 80's musical group that I grew up listening to...Basically,when you come "undone" [ IE : fall apart due to stress, grief, sadness etc...]...who do you run to or who do you go to for help [that's my loose translation on how it relates to my current life situation ]...My Husband Ray,was my "Run To" ...for everything and now that he is gone...I miss that connection terribly... and it certainly...makes everything more difficult to navigate through when you are alone...So,for me,it is important to find other ways and other people to help me get through those "Inbetween" tough moments...So..."remembering" eventhough difficult...is part of the moving "through" process of my grief ...so I can reach the other side of healing... * I have chosen to scraplift this layout by @Erin2 : * I Liked everything about it...and it inspired my layout design too : My Inspirations : * 1. The Color Story she used here : Green,Yellow,Orange...with some white, black and grey mixed in although my colors are more muted in tone... * 2. The use of Multiple Word Strips * 3. One Photo and One Frame * 4. Female subject matter * 5. Paint * 6. Flowers * 7. Thread * 8. She has Sequins and I have Stars to mimic a similar effect... * 9. The idea of scrapping a lot of elements behind the frame and photo * 10. The brown word strip and her hair : inspired me to put in the brown paint to play off that idea... * My Layout : Inbetween Moments *Credits in my gallery*
I chose this one to lift: I like the vertical papers with some diagonal lines tucked behind. Here is what I came up with.
Page to lift: My page - I mostly lifted the "mat" look with four layered pages, but also a little picture with a frame and a little cluster in the corner.
i picked this page of Erin2's and the topic also guided my photo and theme choice and the template still being available definitely helped me scrap this faster!
This is my page Which is a scraplift of this one I did have the template but I think I changed it up sufficiently to make my page my own - although I've just realised I actually used the same painty flower as well. I didn't actually start out using the Spring Daze kit, but part way through I decided I wanted a softer feel to the pink than that I'd originally chosen (Glitz Girl and Crazy Little Thing).
This is the page that I used as my inspiration for the scraplift. I loved the framed masked photo in the original but decided to cluster my elements more around the framed photo for the lift.
