Hello again to all our challenge takers. I am delighted to host the Inspiration challenge. I love looking through the galleries to find some mojo and I thought, why not look at this layout and take some ideas from it. (Please note this is not a scraplift challenge, but I would like you to note where you drew your inspiration from.) Some ideas include: woodgrain back ground large temperature as a title word art or journaling on the photo messy stitching using realistic embellishments like the sand and botanicals below or overlaying the photos. word strips on or below a photo date on a label washi tape attachment three photos telling one story - in my case some details on a walk use of a doily or metallic element. (credits: I used Anita Designs | Cooking with love Collection and Almanac Collection) I used a wood grain background, temperature title, word art on photo, word strip below a photo, date on a label, use of a doily. I hope that you can see some inspiring possibilities for your layout. Instructions are simple: take some inspiration from my Autumn Inspiration layout and craft your own creation - please note what you drew inspiration from, for your layout. Gentle reminder: please remember our monthly challenge rules. Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. (Please use the share BB IMG code found on the right side of the gallery). The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I am excited to see what ideas you use to craft your own masterpieces.

*What a lovely Inspiration Challenge...So open to personal observations and possibilities... *You might have noticed that I am taking more personal photos of myself...Ugh! in general I don't like taking photos of myself,at all...but I have been influenced by some people around me to be more present in my day to day and in today,as a theme...Losing my husband, has also made me realize, after much soul searching, that memories and time is so fleeting for us all...I wish I had more photos and videos and such to remember him by...but sadly I don't have as much as I would like...He [Ray] also hated his picture taken...but I think that is partly my fault,as I did not want pictures taken of me during my painful recovery from my various health, accidents, trials and tribulations...There was a time when we loved getting our pictures taken to show our own life experiences and make memories...But how time, pain, health struggles and looking & feeling sick...makes you not want to have these things pictured...if just so you don't have a constant reminder of that specific pain, time or just not feeling well enough to bother...Either way,I think most of us,have some regrets in our lives...and losing the person you love most makes you painfully aware that it is sad that more things were not documented...especially those happy moments inbetween...I wish I had done this...but time always steps in and shocks you into the reality that you have no control over certain things in your life... *So in the interest of trying to move forward in my personal journey of recovery,I have started to embrace the one thing I thought I never would...Creating mini videos and taking pictures of myself when I feel like I look good enough for not so terrible photos...Although,I have deleted so many photos I have lost count how many I messed up taking...but I am learning to take better photos and I am really excited about that...because I used to take a lot of photos back in the day, when I was younger with my old polaroid camera...Ha! Ha!...I am aging myself here...way before digital photos, and such...even existed... *So I was pleasantly pleased and excited how these sets of photos turned out of me...I created a mini photo shoot of myself in various poses and looks wearing this outfit, that made me feel like I looked like a female version of Sherlock Holmes...Drole,I know...I do love my crime mysteries,so it suits my personality to a T...I might as well have some fun, since I am learning to smile again... *For this challenge : my inspirations taken from @StefanieS layout : 1. The colors of blue and green 2. Large title that is somewhat different [I cut the word strength in a different way] 3. Flowers 4. Date on a label 5. word strips on or below a photo 6. word strips on the photo 7. The neutral beige colors 8. She has a lace doily : I have a bit of lace in my background paper 9. In her photo...there is weed-like grass : I have done this effect with grass-like weed stamps 10. She has lace ribbon : I have glossy beige ribbon *Thank You! for the inspiration : a personal note about his photo : I did not use any filters to alter the photo, only minor taking out of red spots and some dark shadows on my face...plus,my actual fedora hat is black...so I recolored it to match with the prominent magenta color in the layout...* *My : Emerging Strength : Layout : *Credits in my Gallery*
